Yes, I've said for years that everyone should be for sale. -

Tavernier's xA was actually higher than 10 (12.5). We're just not very clinical. Dessers is a big part of that. -

If we get an offer, yes, but I wouldn't mind keeping him around as a back-up. -

I wasn't suggesting he's on Tavernier's level. I said above that it was replacing Tavernier's assists that I'm most worried about. I was merely stating that the chances Yilmaz creates are surprisingly good - much better than a #10 like Lawrence, for example. We should be converting more of them. That's all. -

We should stop: this is going to bore the ar*e off everyone! -

4 in 12 is misleading, though, isn't it. 530 minutes is only 6 full matches. A 1 minute cameo is an 'appearance', but you would not be punting a striker because he doesn't score in that 1 minute appearance. You could say your 4 in 12 is deflating the stats. -

It's more accurate. For example, you were seeing Danilo's 4 goals in 12 as p*sh, but it wasn't a full 12 matches. It was 530 minutes, which is more like 6 full 90 minute matches. It's data decided by 90 minutes. The Yilmaz stat I gave you was expected assists. That's the quality of his chances created, not how many he actually assisted (which was 1). I know you'll not like it, though. It was just to show that there is something there. I'm not fussed either way between Yilmaz and Jefte - I've not seen the latter, though. -

(Correction: Dessers got 16 league goals, not 13.) Danilo's goals per 90 was 0.68 compared to Dessers' 0.63. Assist per 90 is 0.17 vs 0.14 in Danilo's favour. Danilo also has a much higher xG per 90, too - 0.93 vs 0.76. He just looks like a better all-round forward, IMO. Ridvan's xA is 3.72, which is much higher than someone like Lawrence, surprisingly. It's 0.22 per 90, which is about 8 assists in a season (Tavernier had 10). I don't disagree with his injury issue. I would rather see Yilmaz start, but wouldn't be bothered either way. -

And poor 1-0 wins and a lucky OF win will see England NT levels of expectation and a statue for Philippe. I cant control that. I'll judge them on performances. -

Danilo has much better stats than Dessers. I think if you give Danilo the 30 league games Dessers got, he scores 20 goals (compared to Dessers' 13, in the league). Yilmaz's xA is decent but needs to do more. I don't like Lawrence. -

We're skint. Every signing has to have potential. That's just me, though. -

His xG per 90 minutes was 0.44, which would have given 16-17 goals for the season. That would've been around 34 goals from Sima and Tavernier together. -

If neither are going to be 100% successes, then I'd rather we take the risk on a project. Bigger upside. -

28 goals and 10 assist they contributed last season, in the league. We do need more goals from a lot of places. -

Which is why we should try to get both in one, no? -

We conceded 32 goals from an xGA of 30. (They conceded 30 from an xGA of 33.) Quite a difference. -

I think Cortes will score fewer goals, but assist much more than Sima. We need g+a from our whole front three and #10 to increase next season. -

Yes, we definitely do, but my point is I'd rather we signed players that were both. We should not be wasting any money. -

I thought we were discussing covering Tavernier's loss. In any case, I would expect Cortes to better Tavernier's output. -

You chose 'starter' over 'project'. The latter implies youth. I suggested both in one, e.g. Cortes. -

Cortes go brrr? Or, Cortes will make up for the loss of Tavernier's output. -

You'd rather have an old fogey starting than a young prospect that's also a starter? Weird. It's a difficult task, but it's not impossible - Cortes, for example, is a starter with a high ceiling. -

I'd like to see McCausland hit double figures in goals and assists.
