  1. I more positive contribution would be for him to organise a double header with Manchester Utd (at the end of the season) with the funds going to Rangers FC to help us through this period. Tbh, i've been less than impressed with the lack of support from other clubs especially in England. We've played plenty of friendlies and testimonials down their and our fans have helped line the pockets of many a player, i'd have thought that would be worth more than a couple of words here and there.

As for Portsmouth - no way should we do a double header with them, they'd be taking more than their fair share of the profits as the bulk of fans (home AND away) would be ours. We're looking for help and all we get is Portsmouth seeing an opportunity to take money off our fans! NO CHANCE.

  2. It would be great if we could narrow the gap and if Celtic win the SPL by less than 10 pts that'll lesson their smarm and put their gas at a peep.

I'd also like Ally to come out with team talks that revolve around getting some good positive results by telling the team that they can impress the future buyers of the club.

  3. I think Lloyds TSB forced David Murray to sell to Whyte and i think they knew that he was getting the money from Ticketus. They probably have him by the short and curlies with his other business's therefore we'll be hearing nowt from him. Any reasonable man in that position would gift Rangers FC £20 million or so, but he'll part with nothing now as he doesn't want to get trapped in the situation he created.

I'm still worried about Liquidation but less so after today.

I think the Administrators made a big deal of the amount and 'seriousness' of the possible investors so that Paul Murray etc would push to get as much money for the offer as possible (rightly too) but i think that it makes absolutely no sense for HMRC to push for liquidation - the amount of money lost to the treasury each season from Rangers games would be immense.

I have no intention of supporting a new team (Rangers Rovers 2012...) no chance, and i think most feel the same, despite some making out they'll be loyal to a new Rangers. Therefore if HMRC did push for Liquidation then that scenario won't get them anywhere near the same kind of revenue.

Big question now is not so much who will take control at Ibrox as what will the CVA be and will HMRC accept it. I seem to recall HMRC settled for 20 pence in the pound with Leeds Utd (?) therefore i would hope for the same. Of course with the amount of pressure Celtic and their supporters (in the media and in Political circles) have put in their direction i'd hazard a quess at between 20p and 25p in the pound.

What do you think will be the settling point?

Also, if we win the 'big' tax case will HMRC accept that or (as Whyte suggested) will they appeal, appeal and appeal until they get the verdict they want?

It's hard to believe they'll be expecting 20-25p in the pound for this £75 M that's been talked about...

Only drawback is the size must be restricted to 80x80 which cam be found if you look at the properties of the image. Not difficult to change this, but any problems, send me the image and I'll sort it for you.

    Hope this helps.

    Jon.

    I'll give it a go John - Cheers!!

It works ta! Had to lose half the horizon...

  4. Easy to be optimistic but i'll opt for realistic!

Either the of these two (preferably BOTH) will satisfy me - SPL & Scottish Cup.

The Tims have won 3 more Scottish Cups than us - i want that sorted!!!:box:

  5. Cheers Jonc127!

What about the boy we had in goal against 'SV Leppstadt' his name is Smith... - i haven't got a record of him playing last season...

Has he just broken through from the reserves?

  6. Just a quick question. If you save a gif image as a gif image, why does it not move or spin when you try and upload it from pc as an avatar yet it works if you copy the url you may have got it from????

Jonc127 - remind me 'how' we get our wee pics (avators?) working...

There was a straightforward process on the last site i went on...

    Technically hopeless!!!:sigh:

  7. Hi, i'm 'A Horse With No Name' and i'm just on a wee 'walkabout' checking out the various things going on...

Nice wee forum, some good wee smilies - i could've use that fishing one in another site i was on!!!;)

  8. Has now gone full circle and returned to Feynoord. He had a transfer free clause in his contract.

I always think you should never go back but i would have liked to see Giovanni coming to us for a few years.

I agree pete:cheers: - surely we could stump up whatever Feyenoord are giving him...

  9. Re my previous post. I recommend we compain via the correct channels whilst at the same time making our own protests i.e. handing back tickets, not spending money at the ground on matchday.

Trouble with that is the 'protests' will just disappear as the season goes on and things get a wee bit interesting...

  10. Still not convinced it's the way forward. I think we need to make our complaints via the correct channels regardless of whether Celtic complain.

Complaining 'through the correct channels' is just a way the system has to negate our concerns...

"We'll come to a decision in a few months time...." and then when there's something big in the sports headlines they "...let their decision be known (ie they'll do Fanny Adams)..."

Time as they say is relative and with enough time we'll all forget and go back to moaning about *******s like Boruc, and Lennon (btw if you think you've seen the last of this weasel you're wrong - HE'LL BE UP HERE EVERY FEW WEEKS TO 'GET OFFENDED'...:uzi:

  11. Romanov is messed up in the head, if we boycotted Tynecastle once he would probably say we are banned for 5 years - clown!

If we boycott Tynecastle Romanov WONT ban Rangers Fans - Romanov is just a greedy Capitalist (like Murray) and the bottom line as always is guess what...

I'll give you a clue - it 'makes the world turn around' apparently...;)

  12. If you geoffrey boycott all the away games then you penalise those clubs who offer tickets to away fans at reasonable prices. The trouble with rejecting tickets for Tynecastle is that they are likely to be able to sell the tickets to their own fans which would render the whole exercice pointless.

Best thing to do would be for the clubs(s) to take the matter up with the SPL. Did they not fine someone last season for over-inflating tickets for away fans?

    Stewarty,

Yes, you'd penalise the weer clubs that charge fair prices - but is there any??? Give an example of clubs that haven't ripped off the Old Firm:flipa:

As for the Jam Tart fans taking up extra tickets... well, that would only be the case IF they were actually in the position they were a couple of seasons ago (when they cut the number of tickets to RFC).

As for taking it up with the SPL or SFA... well, the only way that'd be taken seriously is if Celtic FC complained - but 'IF' that happens all that'll happen is the increases in ticket prices will be more gradual (ie a 'less steep curve').

Has to be a COMPLETE ban i'm afraid...:uzi:

btw the idea that Bears haven't missed a game for xx amount of seasons doesn't have to change - as suggested yesterday any Bear with those sentiments can go to the home end and probably pay less in the bargain!

  13. Well if we are charging team £22 and they are charging us around £20-£25 surely that is fair

But with Hearts yes we need to send out a message. I think we should all boycott it and sell our tickets for £50 and only give them 300 or whatever .

Don't think tat for tit will work it needs to be a straightforward message!

  14. How much do we charge for teams coming to Ibrox, am sure it is £22

Not quite the £33 that Hearts are thinking of - and that other teams will be starting to 'dream of'...

A Message needs to be gotten across!:uzi:

  15. Erm a say no

A will totally agree with Hearts boycott but nothing really else

Trouble with that is there needs to be a CLEAR message to EVERY CLUB IN SCOTLAND that the days of feeding off Rangers Fans are coming to an end!!!
