Andy Webster cannot return to Rangers in January

Recommended Posts

No, definitely not. Something could possibly be wangled if United hadn't been playing Webster. I think if a player has played in less than 10% of matches there's a get out clause which could possibly be exploited, but Webster has already played more than that out of the full seasons fixtures, never mind fixtures till January.

Was more a rhetorical question my man. Didnt think it would be considered exceptional.

I was thinking more if we have injury troubles come jan.

I seriously doubt that our injury troubles would count as 'just cause' for breaking a loan deal contract because it's entirely our own fault that we don't have cover for central defense that Walter's willing to play. It's our own management's fault & responsibility, nothing to do with United.

That doesn't have sod all to do with the exceptional circumstances "rule", though craig is correct it is normally applied to goalkeepers.

If we couldn't field a defence I reckon there would be cause. But I don't think it would come to that.

Of course it wouldn't come to that because we've got defenders officially registered to play 1st team SPL matches & even European matches that Walter apparently won't play because he'd rather play McCulloch as a defender. If push came to shove with injuries etc, he'd simply be forced to play Wilson, Perry, McMillan etc.

Broadfoot on the way back - chances are the authorities would deny it anyway.

I honestly cant wait for Kirk to get back. He is going to improve the defence! Give me Kirk ahead of McCulloch any day of the week, plus id play him ahead of Whittaker at RB. Whittaker is a better LB for me, he doesnt tend to try solo's out of position so much at LB.
