54andcounting 0 Posted June 13, 2011 Share Posted June 13, 2011 I was supposed to include this goal in the opening post....tad tipsy yesterday :smile: This game took place in 1998, I was in Letterkenny, ROI, for the weekend and due to a slow bus driver I missed the start of that game - as I rushed into the Hotel in anticipation of a 'Gers victory which was crowded with footy fans I made for the bar to order my pint and turned to the tv set and saw Rangers players jumping on top of each other in celebration, and not one voice in that place cheered I asked this big burly bloke next to me "who scored?" he replied ".....Rangers" I later found out it was Thern. Just as well that bus driver was late or I probably wouldn't be here to tell this.
