Gers Stars On Comeback Trail

Recommended Posts

Good run-out it would seem and, in looking at the team it actually appears that we do have some good strength in the squad these days.

A number of players who we could expect to push for 1st team places played last night.... Perry, Weir, Wallace, Broadfoot, Bedoya, McKay, Ness, McCulloch and then we also had Fleck, Healy and McMillan too.

None of those players started last night so if you augment them into the starting XI we had that actually makes for reasonably encouraging reading. We almost have two teams again.... and most of those listed above are of suitable standard to play SPL level, no doubt.

I thought Wallace looked good in his sub appearance against Killie on Tuesday, so I'd expect him to return on Saturday against Hibs.

McCulloch can certainly do with games before he stiffens up totally.

Why are these games not played in Scotland? With the players on show, I'd have gone to see the game.
