LEGGAT - DAILY RECORD EDITOR AND BRIAN McNALLY - Exclusive

Recommended Posts

The link between the IRA and Facism is well established.

The IRA's Chief of Staff, Sean Russell died of blood poisoning whilst aboard a Nazi U-Boat off the west coast of Ireland, in 1942.

I remember the obituary of Joe Adams(Gerry's old man), written by former Sellik View Editor and then Herald Deputy Editor, Kevin McKenna. It was published a dozen years past and McKenna kionised the wretch. There was considerable pride in old rancid Joe's WW2 experience. He was THE Luftwaffe's Damage Assessment Officer. After bombing raids on Belfast's shipyards, old Joe would walk the yards, assessing the damage and accuracy, photograph if he could, then get his dispatch off to der Fatherland.

Brian McNally(Sean South) is desperate to pull on the fully segged jackboots and stand in the cooling Nordic breeze.

It's amazing what can be found out when you do some investigating, nice one Leggo.

The association between facists and the catholic church is a historical fact, so it's no suprise that catholics would be inclined to support facists, as that, in my opinion, is their natural state.

Anybody interested in the history of this, try googling The Lateran Pacts, or treaty. This is about a secret meeting between Gasparri, the pope's secretary of state and Mussolini, thus establishing and giving some kudos to Mussolini's facist Italy.

PS Signed on 11 Febuary, 1929.
