Irony aside, as I said above, what press folk "understand" does not equate to truth and reality. Nor does "are believed" mean anything. While in some cases, these reports are true enough, in others they are just assumptions by the media hacks. Else we (or any football team of your choice) would have e.g. signed a whole host of players the press "believed" to have already had disussions with the managers, clubs et al.
