I am one who firmly believes we should be in Scottish football. But... the more you push someone away (as the SPL and SFA are doing with us) the more you take a "fuck it, lets move" attitude. I would relate it to work.... the more your employer or line manager treats you like dirt, or is fairly clearly not treating you the way you should be treated, the more likely you are to look elsewhere for employment. My only concern is the players travelling without any support. Of course, the punishments can easily be just a slap on the wrist and maybe they're just going through the motions due to all the presures.
