Ready To Push On

LEE WALLACE was thrilled to be reunited with his Rangers team-mates when they regrouped for pre-season training this morning at Auchenhowie.

The defender was the second player to commit to the club following its transfer from Rangers Football Club plc to The Rangers Football Club.

And he was quick to demonstrate how keen he was to get down to business by being one of the first to arrive at the club's training ground for fitness testing.

Wallace has spent plenty of time working on his fitness over the last few weeks despite being away from the club for more than a month during the summer break.

And he is already itching to get playing again as he and his colleagues prepare themselves for the forthcoming campaign.

Wallace told RangersTV.tv show Blues News: "There is probably a point in the holidays when you get a bit bored.

"During my own holiday there, what with my girlfriend being pregnant, I was kind of limited in where I could go.

"Sometimes the only thing that can keep you occupied is training, whether it's through going to a gym or keeping yourself ticking over in other departments.

"As it gets closer to the point when you need to come back, you look forward to it and you're enthusiastic about it.

"All the boys are in good spirits and we're just looking forward to getting a good, tough pre-season under our belts."
