RANGERRAB 3,299 Posted July 25, 2012 Share Posted July 25, 2012 is it just me or will there be much more interest in us in div3 than SPL ? will that continue throughout season ? if so then is it little wonder SKY are supposedly considering their position regards SPL coverage? Consider this too. What game would the tv audience rather watch? a goalless St Midden vs ICT turgid affair devoid of entertainment or Rangers humping someone 8-0 ?? It'll be intersting to see how this pans out. RANGERRAB 3,299 Posted July 25, 2012 Author Share Posted July 25, 2012 Perhaps an even bigger question is whether the SPL will still exist next season ? what if SKY drastically reduce their contract ( or scrap it altogether) and a number of SPL clubs go into adminstration or go out of business ? these clubs heavily depend on the SKY contract ( and Rangers visits) to survive. what will SPL do then? the SPL's own finances are shaky too like being unable to pay SFL its dues. no12 0 Posted July 25, 2012 Share Posted July 25, 2012 The story of Rangers climb through the leagues as we fight our way back to the top is going to be one of the great stories, if not the greatest story, of the club's history. This has already created a much larger audience than football in this country has had for a very long time and more people will be drawn in over the years. The situation where there were only two clubs winning the top league has turned many people away over the past couple of decades and has been very unhealthy for the game.
