RANGERS fans should be advised that the forthcoming home match with Elgin City may switch.

It was announced earlier that the game would go ahead on Sunday, September 2 at noon but the SFL have advised that the kick-off time or date may change.

A statement reads: “The SFL have been made aware of the Great Scottish Run taking place around Glasgow at the same time of this re-arranged match. We are in discussions with both clubs, Strathclyde Police and ESPN on an alternative kick-off time or date for this match, which will be announced early next week.

“The SFL would like to apologise to everyone concerned for the inconvenience this may have caused.”

Could maybe see it being made the Monday night?

With Celtic at home on the 1st Saturday is no good at all really.

We're a certainty to get pissed about over the coming years.

Well I think by next season the SPL and SFL will work together to arrange the fixtures around avoiding Glasgow clashes.

We took over Stranraer's games at short notice so was too late I think.

The coming years? What about the past years?

Weekdays are great for me because I can make it, but for the majority of Bears, it's a bummer.

We'll also end up with some bizarre days and times for some matches because of SKY/ESPN.

For which the Club are apparently getting peanuts.

Apparently it's par for the course for Div 3 teams showing 15 games per season.
