Interviewer: You spent a year at Rangers. Did you have an inkling that they were in financial trouble? UE: "When I was there in 2007 there were rumblings of trouble. We had players leaving to go to Blackpool, teams like that who, with all due respect, are not as big a club as Rangers. But they could offer more of a salary, so that started to make me think this isn't right. It's sad to see it go the way it has. "I never had any trouble with wages or anything, it was always handled well. But going to a club like that we didn't even discuss a contract really. It was just, 'do you want to play for Rangers?'
