At the end of this season......

and we are further behind a (very poor) celtic side than this time last year, by which time that run had been put to an end.

we also made it into the last 16 of europes top competition.

I dont want to get rid of PLG - will take us even further back - but it does worry me how he has coped so far.

also i reckon eck deserves alot more praise and respect than he received. hindsight... what a thing!

Yeh and the Tims seem to be doing it without Barry Feguson.( God forgive me)

if barry ferguson is undermining le guens style and causing trouble, then le guen will have done the right thing in making an example with barry.

I was just saying that le guen has been a very slow starter and saying that maybe eck did a better job than we thought at the time.

nothing about whether barry ferguson should be in the team or not...

Advocaat and Souness. Eck though ?

point taken with eck but i honestly think on a level playing field eck couldnt lace plg's boots managerially

i could be proved wrong

I agree but he hasn't shown it, a manager can't live on his reputation forever. I would give him til January next year, this season is a lost cause he now has two chances to get the squad sorted. Hopefully he will get a bit of financial backing and we can move forwards under PLG.

eck took a failing team and took them to 2 cup wins in his first 6 months in charge and improved their fortunes in the league - all with what must either be the same amount or less money than PLG.

just thought I should put that out there, as although I believe PLG should turn out to be a good manager for rangers, i think eck definitly could 'lace PLG's boots managerially'
