I thank everyone for their contributions.

I am driving at eg, our goalkeeping situation. Bell picks up an injury and Simonsen is back-up; we have further back-up in the lad, Kelly. If further belt and braces is deemed necessary(and it would appear, it was), then we sign Lee Robinson on a contract. Why did we not sign a temporary loan deal for 4 months to tide us over and save dosh?

Again, happy to see the debate taking shape on past loan signings; but why have we shied away from loan signings these last two and a bit years? I suspect every other senior club in Scottish football has at least one loan signing.

It really is a mystery, although I can understand why we wouldn't be able to attract a good quality of loan signing while playing in the bottom two tiers.

This season it's different though. We're in a much more competitive league and gunning for promotion back to the top flight, so the only reasons I can think of are that we didn't look for loans, couldn't find any or on a related subject, that it had something to do with our supposed lack of senior scouting.
