Rangers: Youth development and first team integration

Recommended Posts

Whilst I'm delighted for us to be linked with players -- and younger, promising players at that! -- I am suspicious of why. Has he been told he's not going to get a game at Birmingham? If so, do we really want a reject from a struggling Championship side?

Highly rated Championship youngsters aren't going to be joining us. There is a lot more talent to be had in the periphery of the English Championship than there is in the SPL.

Agreed.

Case in point. Young Bermudian Nahki Wells left Bradford for Huddersfield (League One team to struggling Championship team) last season......... for 1.4 million quid. They only last week staved off the possibility of relegation. We aren't going to be spending neither the transfer fees NOR the wages at that level.

As for his talent, I suspect that he is a better version of Nicky Clark and certainly knows better where the back of the net is.
