John Brown is Rangers envoy for Moscow Dynamo celebration

Recommended Posts

Why has this caused a stir? It's not as if he hasn't represented the club in the past. Bomber along with coisty and John Greig was in America as part of a visitation to rangers supporters clubs. He won six league titles, three Scottish and league cups and coached at ibrox for nine years so I'd say bomber has a good rangers pedigree..

He isn't perfect and nor was everything he did but he did try to stand up and use the 'information' he had to tell the support that all wasn't right.......whilst other so called legends who knew similar, didn't.

The relaying of the 'information' was difficult because it wasn't precise and in the case of Bomber, he wasn't the best person to digest, grasp, interpret and articulate such complex and probably vague financial shennanigans. What he did know was that Green&Co and their onerous dealings would take us down into a dark place.

Regardless of precise detail, had fans actually taken on board the general sentiment, developed it and not lined up behind the Yorkshire pied piper in such gullible fashion so soon after CW....then maybe we could have avoided some of the pain or even been forced into more immediate pain from which we would be further down the road to recovery today.

We should perhaps instead ask ourselves why more of the supposedly more enlightened and appropriately experienced amongst us didn't or weren't able to shine a light where it was needed.

When someone stand up and tells you something isn't right and the information that he gives is total bullshit, people should still think he has a general point and investigate things further? If we were to do that, we'd be investigating the current board as well. and distrusting King, Murray etc.

When people did investigate what he was saying they found out it was incorrect. His approach, by misleading the fans, certainly helped Green.

Perhaps we should also have backed his support for a Celtic fan owning the club?

Different people will take information, use and apply it in different ways.

Some will look at the general situation as it stands, take into consideration where it comes from, perception of messenger, motivations and add it into what may be termed as a 'mix' or even 'a case for the metaphorical prosecution/defence'.

Others will look at it and simply decide black or white (or even Green).
