IMAGES of more fans police want to speak to in connection with the rioting that marred this year's Scottish Cup final have been released.

Ugly scenes erupted on the Hampden turf after the final whistle blew on Hibs' 3-2 victory over Rangers on May 21.

Fighting broke out after a section of the Leith men's support headed towards the West Stand, where the opposing fans were seated.

Some of the Ibrox first team, including Rob Kiernan, Andy Halliday, Jason Holt, Lee Wallace and Dean Shiels, were targeted by fans.

The chaos left around 40 spectators requiring medical treatment, including one man who suffered a punctured lung.

The number of people arrested in connection with the disorder has reached 50.

And, as officers continue their investigations, they have circulated another batch of photographs of suspects.

Police Scotland said: " Police in Glasgow are continuing to investigate acts of violence, disorder and vandalism that took place during the pitch incursion immediately following the final whistle at Hampden Park after the Scottish Cup final on Saturday, 21 May 2016.

"Police Scotland are releasing images of persons they are keen to trace, whom they believe may be able to assist them with their enquiries."

After the latest swoop of arrests, which took place last week, cops warned their will be more to come.

Detective Superintendent Kenny Graham, who is leading the investigation, added that their work sent a "clear message" to anyone involved.

He warned: "You may think your behaviour has gone unnoticed, but I can assure you that our officers remain committed to identifying and arresting the perpetrators.

"I can guarantee you that there will be more arrests as part of this investigation, and if you were involved, we could very well be knocking on your door next time."

As far as i'm concerned every last one who went on to that pitch is guilty of inciting riotous behavior. Given an estimated 5,000 of them did so we can calculate it was a very large percentage of the total which if there is a list of those who bought tickets should make it easier to narrow down using available photographic evidence.

Incidentally I saw it being discussed on a hibs forum that there was fighting on the streets during the visit of Brondby who even they conceded were a friendly bunch. All this is something I didn't see on any media outlet though admittedly I don't read them much.

They then went on to declare that those attacking the Brondby fans "were not real hibs fans" and even went so far as to imply it was "huns" in disguise. Now they sepculate that Brondby fans may have a score to settle in the return leg and maybe even travelling "huns" in disguise could kick it off. The fantasies expand daily.

I did not take up my away tickets for there last season as I have worries about the notorious "Hibs Casuals".

Unbelievable that they can terrorise Brodby fans and no mention in green & white media.
