Beerman, 18, made eight top-team appearances for the Light Blues last season, although injury has disrupted his campaign this season with the club’s under-20s. His playing time with Gers first team saw him handed a call-up to Malta’s full international squad, and he made his debut in a shock 1-0 win away to Ukraine in June.
