Murray Praises Fans by Chairman Sir David Murray SATURDAY was a great day for the Club and supporters both on and off the pitch. The fans deserve the highest praise possible for their efforts in recent weeks and the weekend's Old Firm game was a reminder to everybody of the great and colourful support Rangers enjoys. As everyone knows we had VIP guests at Ibrox including Cardinal O'Brien, the Moderator of the Church of Scotland Alan McDonald and the leaders of other faiths and they all commented on how much they enjoyed the occasion. Earlier in the week the fans were recognised by UEFA for recent initiatives and efforts and this was reflected in their judgement on the Club. The supporters should be complimented for their role in Saturday's events and they provided the team with the best possible backing which spurred them on to a great victory.
