Perhaps it's because football songs and chants belong in the stands and pubs, not in a book. They're fluid and often irreverent, open to spontaneous change. They seldom stand still and several versions can exist. More than anything else, they're aural rather than visual. Actually contacted our new fans liason officer about it soon after he was appointed - no reply. Maybe I should try to make money with it too ... You will note the absence of all the (tons of) Loyalist and "banter" songs (Nakamura ate my dog; Jorge Cadette, he's got hair like spagetti et al), as well as those with no "direct" connection to Rangers, e.g. Penny Arcade, Simply the Best and the like. ? And methinks it depends of the intent of the book, rather than how many songs are in there. The above of mine was collected with purely football related songs in mind. What are the lyrics of "We went to Wolverhampton"?
