Who should be the new manager?

Assuming the new régime is running the appointment, the Press has no conduit to it except possibly Stewart and I don’t think he’s a leaker.

For the ancient regime to take upon itself the appointment of the new No. 1, and associated/ ancillary staff, without the agreement of the incoming owners/investors, would be monumental arrogance and stupidity, of such scale as to threaten the whole deal.

I assume that the deal  -or the series of deals- is done, and will kick in in a particular operative date The majority ownership will then vest in the Yanks. Thee cheers for the red, white, and blue.

I have absolutely no idea who could, should, or would be the next manager - like everybody else, outside a very tight circle of people who know that careless talk costs deals.
