Rings a bell. Don't think Rangers ever actually played a game in that white kit with the blue star, was for the photo only iirc.

 

We originally played in blue rugby jumpers, in line with stealing our name from a rugby club 😂

Had a wee delve into it there, the white kits did come from a rowing club, that several Rangers players were already affiliated to.

 

But we just went on to actually use them in games as an alternative to our blue jerseys, and started making the same uniforms ourselves.

 

After making our own - a club photograph was taken, the one we all know.
