I'm sure if we had gone on to win the league last season the media would have been breathing down the backs of our east end neighbours but instead they can sell more papers by preying on the weak.

 

Totally agree & it's been the way for many years now. They've aided/shoehorned massive change in the course of history by doing so. That's why the media is a weapon that can be & has been harnessed by people with that sort of mindset. Mainstream newspapers should know better than to allow the blatant preying on the weak & biased reporting though since they'd have to be mad to think that it doesn't affect the course of the clubs they're reporting on, not to mention their own rag sales.

 

One thing that really makes me wonder what's going on in Scottish football though & with the SFA in particular is why should supposedly professional SPL team managers be allowed to have not just close links with press insiders, but actually write their own columns in major tabloids? Seems not just strange or cringe worthy, but a complete & utter outrage to me.
