Yes the club should have taken on more debt to build on from the success of winning the league title - instead the board decided to spend money on legacy projects like NEH, the Rangers Museum etc, new disabled seating areas. The footballing side was gambled on, done an invincible season squad should be able to go again, and it was neglected in the years after. This board have hemorrhaged money up the wall, wasted resources time and time again, so badly to the point that we've lost most of our long standing records, we've becoming a laughing stock to most, and we're in a perpetual cycle of crap, this board have left the club in a position where we literally need to rip it all up and start again, selling was the only option. So to me they haven't left the club in a better position. They've done as much damage as the spivs.

Absolutely, you've hit the nail on the head. In the short term, if he's still in top shape, his experience could definitely give us goals . We saw that with Defoe, his finishing was just on another level even at that stage of his career. However, I'm with you on it being the wrong type of signing for us now in the direction we want to go, sure it will be a quick fix yet the lure of a big final payday in the States or the Middle East is probably what he is looking for , even a short stint in the Premier League could be tempting for him also especially with newly promoted clubs who may offer him a bumper of a pay deal, For me, the focus needs to be on building with younger players who are fully invested in Rangers and the Scottish game for the long haul.

Short term and retaining his current condition / fitness then he would score for fun. Plus Defoe was easily the best finisher at 37 when he was with us. But it would be the wrong type of signing for me. Id also imagine he will be hunting a nice fat salary for 12 months in either the US or Middle East. Personally, I think Barry will go with that as he will want to be cautious due to previous games where opposition have used fast counters and have worked for them and we have crumbled , I would use full frontal if I was confident we could pull it out the bag, I’m not sure this team is capable even if we were to fling in Cerny & hagi, I think Barry will be cautious and I would pick the same lineup also.

What a division. Id love to see Rangers in that league as a pathway to the Premier League if we could get into the English league and start in League 2. Middlesboro, West Brom and Blackburn just had silly runs with no wins in 6 which cost them. Millwall put on a good late charge.
