  1. We now find ourselves on the dawn of a new era however I still find myself looking back on the Murray stewardship and the missed opportunities that could have prevented the financial mess that we now find ourselves in.

Over the years we have seen our great club go from being a global brand steeped in history, which is talked about all over the world however now you would be lucky to find a Rangers key ring in most sport shops outside Scotland as the interest in Rangers and Scottish football has been allowed to Dwindle.

Now before I go further I must state that the interest or lack of I should say in Scottish football is not down to Murray but rather could be blamed on the SPL's failed rendezvous with Setanta.

Although we cannot ignore that Murray has allowed our club to go from being the Second biggest club in terms of merchandise income in the UK to a club who no longer operate their own shops.

I do not intend to list all of Murrays short comings as I would like everyone to list one that they feel Murray got wrong; I will start with the following:

    Murrays Missed Opportunities

    1. The Big Screen Fiasco

I always wondered what was going through Murrays head when he introduced the big screen TVs. The opportunity to actually use them were limited as TV rights dictated what games could be shown. Surely if some one actually sat down and calculated the amount of seats that could have been placed there instead and the average ticket cost across the number of games we are looking at a lot of revenue lost over the years.

Anyways guys over to you to list what you feel he got wrong.

  2. That the players are comfortable setting out in a negative formation against teams they feel they could beat?

I mean if Walter decides to set up 5-4-1/5-4-1 on Sunday is this not sending out a message to his players that he does not feel they are good enough?

Surely this defensive mentality would make one question their own ability when they are constantly told to sit back?

  3. One of the biggest factors that's screwing us up is the actual number of teams we're getting into Europe in the past couple of years. For Scotland to be having 5 or 6 teams in Europe might seem great for the fans of the smaller clubs who suddenly get the chance of one or two European nights, but it's a complete joke for our nation as a whole and needs sorted out.

We shouldn't have more than 4 spots in Europe and the idea of clubs like Falkirk, Dunfermline, QoS & Gretna getting a chance in Europe is rediculous at the moment. If we had a bigger SPL and over time these smaller clubs improved their standard due to having better finances, then they wouldn't necessarily get pumped out as quickly and screw up the coefficient as much.

Freak things like Gretna and QoS getting to cup finals will happen sometimes, but that special Cup final day as well as the money it earns their club should be their reward. They shouldn't be getting a European spot.

Totally agree, as a small nation we should be rewarding the most consistent teams. All European places should be given to the SPL not the Scottish cup.

  4. I remember you! Nice to see a familiar face.

Agree on the Weir point - he should not be selected for games other than the diddy sides. Bartley is far better an option in every sense.

Yeah, Always wondered where you disappeared to mate,

I really hope we manage to keep a hold of Bartley. He may not be the finished article however he has all the right attributes to go far.

Although Weir did not really do much wrong last night the whole team tends to play far too deep when he is at the back.

  5. Davis is a good player however he is not the player we need him to be...

We need a player who can take the ball and dictate play, on Sunday all he did was back track and cover for Whittaker.
