Sir Alex Ferguson played for us of course and it's been said he is a supporter, no idea if that's true.

It would be good to have an idea of how many people will consider coming so we can have a rough idea of who is interested.
It's early days, Pete, we can certainly do that once the date is decided.
I'm not really concerned about numbers at this stage; I just want the date finalised so that I can book the restaurant and arrange a guest speaker.
Based on past experience a lot more people tend to come than participate in the voting; and on this occasion a number have said they have no preference and will come regardless of the date provided they are available.
We can move ahead with the arrangements after the poll closes tomorrow night.

I'm not voting because I haven't a clue where I'll be on any of these dates
If we're here, we'll go
All understood thanks CS.

A reminder that the poll closes tomorrow night at 11.22pm.

He was also played out of position at FB most of his time at Ibrox.

I have no idea what I will be able to attend, so there's no point in me voting, somewhat surprisingly it looks like I have an offer for a ticket for the OF game if work allows and I presume I could get one for the games on the other dates. So I will wait and see what is decided upon and if I can make it even the time comes, then great.
Hope to see you again next year.

He will be more than welcome.

I might go to this, depending on how i feel after nightshift. I went for Dundee game but not bothered what game it is.
A champion like you will be more than welcome.

Once again a dig at the past(24 years ago) where does it get us and does it not tar us with same brush as those we complain about.
No doubt Marseille have very few ,if any,of the personnel from then.
It was clamoured for to have a worthwhile friendly and they have been good enough to oblige like Sheffield Wednesday so let us see how we perform.
We'll likely beat them easy and then what will we think about Luxembourg.

I'm away in December BH (the minute uni stops for Xmas I'm off to rest my remaining brain cell) i could attend in the new year/end of season though.
All newbies welcome especially intellectual types such as you who will add some some stimulation and piquancy to the debate.

So far only 5 people have voted in the poll
I appreciate that it's early doors but that's part of the reason for planning ahead.
I also understand that some folk are ambivalent about the date.
However I would encourage anyone who might want to attend to cast a vote.
Thanks.

May I humbly ask the doom-croaking omnipotence that since it knows how ...
Foderingham
Tavernier? - Alves - Cardoso - Wallace
Jack
Candeias - Pena - Dorrans - Dalcio
Herrera
... will perform on a weekly basis August onwards, what the next lottery numbers will be?
No place for Kranjcar in your team?

I've done Sheffield to Glasgow and back in 1 day numerous times.. don't do it. That's my advice.
I accept your advice it's just not worthwhile.

I saw some great acts in the old Rangers Social Club; not the least of which was Mr "She Wears My Ring" himself, none other than the legendary Solomon King. He sang without a microphone, he just didn't need one.

Well that rules out Craig then.
I'm glad you made the point for me; I was certain you would.

Gutted I've booked to go to Aberdeen for an old main stand friend's leaving party; as she's off to Australia.
I foresee a change of plans and a fast drive north after the match.

Craig.....Woah........................ As I type that.... I am just realizing that I will be back home for an OF game and the wee fella and wifey have season tickets this year - oh man, that has me super pumped to be there !!!!!!!!!!!!! Except.... the wife may demand she has the use of the season ticket She may also demand that I head home right after the game instead of the dinner (if that was the chosen date - to be honest, I am not sure I would choose that date - going out in Glasgow after OF games is a risk )
I included the Celtic game as requested in the revised poll and everyone is perfectly entitled to vote as they wish; but personally I would agree with Craig's final comment.

Aye.... but 12 yr olds...Why not? It is a restaurant not a pub.
I can confirm that partner/spouses are more than welcome; Mrs CS has attended twice as has Mrs CM three times IIRC.
We did have a young child at the first two dinners but we made sure he was not included in any pictures that were taken. Whilst some may find it a little inhibiting I don't have any objection provided the child is accompanied by a responsible adult.

I would appreciate if anyone who is interested in attending could vote in the poll.

It's a very good statement and I particularly like the final line "It's time to change the Record."
However, the answer as is suggested and as SDM used to say at the AGM's when the Herald was the butt of criticism, if you don't like what they write don't buy the paper.

We probably would have had another European trophy if we had normal forwards playing instead of playing a CH Roger Hynd IIRR up front.
Dave Smith was of that opinion when he spoke at our dinner.

Possibly £500k up front and another £250k later.Of course they were misinformed.
But when you have someone like BH who is so blatantly anti-King they will use numbers as a means to "prove" King isn't good for us. Hence the "we refused 5 million for McKay in January" and "we only got 500k for him in July". Both figures are distorted and, strangely enough, the refusal to sell is inflated whilst the actual selling figure is deflated.
As obvious an attempt at smearing King as you are likely to get.
The Sun rep[orted the £500,000 figure
The Nottingham Post reported £750,000, and I suspect the balance payment subject to various caveats such as appearances. Yes that part is supposition on my part but few if any transfers are paid outright these days.
The Sun reported £6 million for Barry McKay
Other papers reported the same or similar figures.

If Rangers genuinely believed on the basis of advice at the time and subsequently, that no tax was due and the matter has only just now been decided by the courts, I understand why interest would be due, though I am less sure that the statutory rate would apply; but I don't understand why a penalty would be due as well? Surely a penalty (and interest at the statutory rate) would only be due if you withheld payment of tax agreed to be due or tax that a court decided was due?
