There is no need for him to come back just now, he just can refuse to sign a new deal with them cometh the time. Then again, ManC pays a Adebayor 180k per week and if they offer Weiss a new deal, he would be mad to resist it at his age.

On a sidenote, the official website reports about an article in the Rangers News that Ally wants to re-deal Weir, Healy and Little in too. Squad-players no doubt and not on high wages either. I doubt that we will want Beattie back, but he's 12 months to run anyways.

ET says that his agent is in talks about him coming up on a new deal too, I wonder what sort of money Blackburn and he looks for.

I wouldn't mind Foster as squad back-up either.

Lots of it will depend on e.g.:

- is this interest for real

- does he cost any significant money

- would he want to come here, exchanging EPL wages for SPL wages and European footie & silverware

I for one wouldn't mind Puncheon and Conway, as we do need depths in squad for the years ahead. A squad capable of winning the SPL marathon and some European games.

BTW, Bursaspor ... is going no-where. Miller will earn quite some cash there, but has won absolutely nothing this season. Methinks the best they can hope for is a place in the CL-qualifiers or the Europa League. McGregor would be mad ...

This was also on German teletext. They were quick to tell the audience that BBC news of our 29m debt and possibility of going out of business. Just one of them mentioned the denial by AJ - a week later! No doubt about that. As I said, I have no clue how he changed during this last dozen years. Some people need only weeks, days, or hours to change dramatically.

The sad thing is that when 5Live was still aired over here in Germany or available via satellite, I actually liked his broadcasts. But that was ... 12 years ago.

Plans? Well, I planned to stay at home and celebrate the last game of the season being champions already, as I fancied Hearts to take some points of Timothy. That was not to be. I also planned to listen to the game on the radio via Rangers World and watching it simultanuously on my second PC via the net . But ... my local basketball team managed to lose the fourth game of the best-of-five series (after leading 2-0) by a single point on Tuesday (after leading throughout the game), hence a decider is needed on ... Sunday! So I'm actually able to listen/watch the first half of our game against Killie ere going to work. A text-message service amongst the German Rangers boarders' has been established ... but ....

I actually wonder why he allows comments on his articles, BTW.

Have to be picky here, these are the Austrians, not the "Gerries". It should be noted that the rumour started in Austria, gathered pace in Croatia ere it made its way to Scotland. The Croats actually did not write much about any deal, but said that ManU constantly circles about their national squad, Jela had a good season ... and "there usually ain't smoke without some fire". I wouldn't be surprised to hear that Jela has no knowledge about these quotes attributed to him. Obviously, players talking about contacts to grand sides like ManU always look suspicious ... and I wonder whether ManU will look kind to somesuch, as a bidding war could start much earlier than they want.

BTW, just to get the paranoia levels up a bit, he was not seen at training yesterday - for whatever reason.

Had any EPL manager seen him play for Vienna like he did for us (which they apparently didn't), we would not have seen a Jelavic at Ibrox.

Good for us is the money involved, as he's on a long term deal, a full international and "on fire". Anothe goal or two to clinch the title will see interest from down south, be it ManU or someone else. They can all shift in with some big bids and even if 6m are involved, we may have to think about this. Not as hard as 14 days ago, but still. If they'd offer us Berbatov too (remember his wages though) and some money, I'd still say yes. But honestly, we'll have to wait and see and if he is being part of a title winning side for the first time in his career on Sunday, thing might not be as clear cut as they might seen to some on here (me included) just now.

Such stuff is a lose-lose situation if you are thirty-party blamed without any chance of defence, since there is no "real" accusation. It all hearsay, assumptions and rumour-mongering.

IMHO it would give the team and the support another boost if we can sign him before Sunday and announce it just ahead of the game.

I've been about since roundabout 1983 and while only looking "in" from the outside - Iron Curtain and all, no chance to visit Britain that often - I always was under the impression that despite some minor peaks during Old Firm fixtures, the general religious "hostilities" between the OF and the supporters had more or less subsided during the late 90 and the 2000s. Probably going hand in hand with the changes in Northern Ireland. Sure, we and them always kept some hardliners, but the "masses" started to care less and less about a players up-bringing. Enter the 2008 league fixture fiasco, Celtic's behaviour all along the way, and the antics of their star players, not least Lennon and Thompson. IMHO, ever since it spiralled downwards, but - blue-glasses or not - the storm clouds always came in from the East End. Lies and slander galore, from top to bottom, culminating in verbal attacks on each and everyone, referees, SFA and whomever they fancied. And alway carrying the standard of victimhood before them, as if it was a valid shield to protect them against their vile and thinly veiled campaigns. I for one wouldn't be surprised if these bombs were send by Tims themselves, to deflect from their own vile intentions to influence the public while laying even more emphasis on their status as perennial victims. But they are not! Any sane intellectual will say that, any sane politician who actually looks at facts rather than headlines will see that ... and one hopes that the law-makers and those in power will see that too. I do hope that our new owner gets some decent QC in there to fight any lie and any slander (just like Nicky Campbell's today).

In essence, there are many reasons to hate their club and this impersonator of a human being. His "race" and his religion are not the straws that break the backs of people like this poor Jambo though.

2) There is absolutely no point whatsoever in Spiers being made a 'Persona non grata' at Ibrox no matter how distasteful it is that he's treated as the club's guest because; a) it would just be throwing petrol on the fire; b) he could still send someone to Ibrox on his behalf; c) he can still attend our away games at home and abroad; d) it wouldn't stop him from writing his anti-Rangers drivel; e) it's better to keep your enemies close.

Keeping him welcome gives him the idea that he's actually "invincible" or "untouchable" with his press pass, which he isn't. He gets strange ideas because of it. He's not allowed to write anything he wants and thinks he can walk "unpunished". Thus, ...

"a)" would actually only harm him, as every sane press folk will still get their accreditation.

"b)" no, it won't be "him" sending someone, but the Times. And how long they will do that remains to be seen. For someone with brains donw there in London will actually take note of his ineptness.

"c)" ... fair enough.

"d)" ... surely not. But he gets even less publicity, as people will ask about his persona non grata status ... and if mud stucks to us, so it will stuck to him.

"e)" ... he's been close enough for years now, and given his working behind the lines, as Leggat intimated, he used it to full affect. He is no enemy, he'S a charlatan with an agenda. An agenda that keeps him in the mouths of people.

Yeah, takes a while to get the head around ... and sure, some informed FFers will hardly find much news in there. Yet, Leggat has e-mails and articles there which confirm that ...

- British/Scottish people based in Scotland got UEFA going and had their own informants/contacts/agents working on their behalf solely against us

- one of them pulled out all stops to get us into bother, contradicting UEFA's own judgement - an Austrian Catholic who was more upset and offended than the whole Spanish crowd that night (or the UEFA delegate).

- much like Lafferty's Law, UEFA "invented" a new case out of an apparent closed one on behest of Scottish based people / organisations, one being the very same which only recently send their observers to our games with PSV, and ONLY to our games with PSV, none else.

In essence: there's been an agenda being carried out against our support from before the days of Villareal and these very same people do their best to besmirch our name, be it that of Rangers, or the supporters. Hence Leggat calls for Whyte's attention, as one journalist belongs to these people and said journalist should become a "persona-non-grata" at Ibrox from now on.

And no, I don't think one can acuse him of paranoia here. We all know that it is true.

While I know that the term has been freely used and thus does not always carry the full meaning anymore, IMHO, these people, from top to bottom, should always be counted amongst Legends. There's hardly been an era in recent memory that has been more difficult, yet, these men (and women) have stood up, rose to the challenge and succeeded*.

*Yes, we're not there yet, but even if the unthinkable happens, those people receive my utmost respect for what they have delivered this season.

Not spotted it here so far ... there is a "nice" article about people posing with a gun outside Celtic's training ground in the Sun today. All have been arrested and while the paper claims that they had Loyalist flags with them, an FFer has indeed said that they are all Celtic fans (one of his friends' sister is involved). You wonder if these are the same people who sent those parcels to various destinations in Northern Britain?

I had to smile while looking at the armed cop in front of the Hooped Horrors' training ground ... and that note about a parcel being mailed in Scotland, to a destination in Scotland, but via Belfast.

The point is that McGregor's kick was not even mentioned until 10 days after the game. You've got it taped, so send a complaint to the SFA (asking for a receipt). Send the same to the SPL and Rangers. There shall not be different rules for us or them, no matter who "them" is. That's the second time this season Black was out to get him. I don't know his allegiances, but imagine what have happened had he hit Jela and the latter would be out for tomorrow.

Obviously, Diouf is IMHO a superior player than him and I am glad we have EHD with us for now.

I wasn't impressed with him today. Faded out of the game and made too many selfish choices. Don't think he's Rangers quality.

He was chased and kicked by Timothy's hammer throwers all day long. No wonder that he did not make that great an impact (with the quality about him). When put alongside other quality people, one might see a better Eremenko too.

I do feel for him and his that they are not allowed to play Aberdeen three more times before the end of the season ...
