Alexander comes across very well in that video.
Shame they never recorded an Ibrox crowd.
Wtf was the "waiting in the backyard" comment all about? Haha.

Don't worry mate, my post wasn't directed at you or in fact anyone in particular. I just feel that recently there have been a lot of threads that have descended into snide remarks & mocking. It ruins the debate & I generally withdraw from discussions when it starts.
I agree that it's a bit strange that the threads with most interest usually have nothing to do with the team, but after the past 18 months the team has been in the background a lot in both the media & fans minds as our very existence was under threat.
Maybe we all need to chill out a little?
Cause every little thing, is gonna be alright.

Don't remove your post STB. That's your opinion and you are entitled to it, just as we all are.
The disappointing thing that seems to be happening more regular here is that we are arguing and mocking instead of debating. That's not healthy, we are all bears here.
So aye.. let's all hug and make up. I'm sure TheGunslinger will buy us all a pint
P.S I don't have dreadlocks, I'm not vegetarian and I don't smoke weed.

I used to be a regular Gersnetter but I stopped using my laptop after Rangers won the champions league in FM11 (took me 7 seasons).
I've been using the site again since FM12 was released but I'm only on my laptop after work and I work all the bloody time (plus just had a kid).
So basically I'm asking for £2 a month.. :fish:
Nah, I've been using tapatalk when I'm at work or out and about and its really very good. The only downside is the agree/thanks and emoticons not available for use.
Is there anyway to improve this from the admin side? Or is there a Gersnet app out there somewhere?

But... Why don't they go home? :fish:

JJB paid upfront & it worked out at 3m per season.
Re: Greens share issue comments. You can't know if it was a lie yet until after the share issue happens. & I think you are being unreasonable to disregard the fact that July saw us relegated.

Not in these exact words, but it was only a few weeks ago that he said in meetings with fans that he had 2 investors eager to invest £25m each. Shortly afterwards he was apparently saying somewhere that he had four such mega-investors waiting in the wings. I'll bet you anything you want that he doesn't have one investor eager to throw £25m at Rangers nevermind two or four. It's total bullshit (only in my opinion of course).
Of course there isn't. A salesman has to sell his products.

For matchday revenue we were 14th in 2011.

So July's £30m was a promise he didn't keep,no?
Firstly, it wasn't a promise.
Secondly, I believe his actual quote was that there would be £30m in the bank after the share issue, which hasn't happened yet. July was quoted before we were relegated and I'd say it would be fair to assume more time would be required to convince investors to purchase shares in a 3rd division club.

celtcs turnover on merchandising is 13 million. the profits probably 3
Fair enough, I can't comment on turnover:profit as I don't know.
Have a look at this though.
Rank Club Revenue (â?¬m) Money League ranking
1 Bayern Munich 172.9 4
2 Real Madrid 150.8 1
3 FC Barcelona 122.2 2
4 Manchester United 99.4 3
5 Schalke 04 79.0 16
6 Liverpool 75.8 8
7 Chelsea 68.8 6
8 AC Milan 63.4 7
9 Hamburger SV 63.2 13
10 Borussia Dortmund 60.7 n/a
11 Manchester City 57.0 11
12 Juventus 55.6 10
13 Arsenal 53.7 5
14 Internazionale 48.3 9
15 Olympique de Marseille 45.1 15
16 Olympique Lyonnais 42.9 14
17 Benfica 41.2 n/a
18 Tottenham Hotspur 38.5 12
19 AS Roma 38.1 18
20 Napoli 37.7 n/a
Based on the figures above is it unreasonable to suggest that we couldn't be doing the same with the correct structure? Rangers are a far bigger club than some of those listed.

i used 60 as a direct reply to your post as it was the number you used. even 60 is deluded for a long long time never mind 100.
we werent. not a chance. our scouting is not that advanced yet.
Here is what STV said "Mr Green told STV that he expected the club to be worth at least £60m in two years' time, which would represent a tenfold return on his original £5.5m investment in June this year."

He's now trying to seduce investors with the fantastical riches of the Premiership whilst simultaneously pissing off the very clubs whose vote he would require, Aston Villa, Man Utd et al.
This part I 100% agree with. Even without us trying to get into the EPL he shouldn't be disrespecting other clubs. It's not professional at all, never mind detrimental. Not even just detrimental to gaining entry to the EPL.. but what if we want to sign a player from one of these guys in the future? Football fans never forget.

Well I must have missed the £30m investment from investors in July, I must have missed him revealing the list of all the investors in June, I must have missed the signing of all those players that were at the Euro finals that Green was harping on about.
You also quite clearly missed the fact he said he would raise £30m from a share issue in July.. which is only happening now because I don't know if you noticed.. quite a lot happened in July.

it was his pal who said it to our fans in north america. mr ahmad. Ahmad told fans in Toronto: “Fingers crossed we will sign with adidas this week.
That quote looks a whole lot different to me than GREEN saying that we ARE signing with Adidas in 1 week.
60 million is only possible with european participation. europe is only possible with spl football and not until 3 years down the line. green has said he wont be here when we are in the spl. in our history we have only topped 60million turnover once and we had to get to a euro final to make that happen. So he never said £100m, he said £60m.
me. we werent, we were talking to kevin kyle, ian black and the like.Yes, we were talking to Kevin Kyle and Ian Black.. but we could well have been looking at others.

signing with adidas in a week.
club looking at several players playing at the euros.
£100m annual turnover in the future
Quotes please?
He said he was meeting with Adidas in a week, not that we were signing with them.
He said turnoever would be £40-60m.
Who's to say we weren't looking at players at the Euro's? You don't sign every player you look at.

I'd say the fan numbers are a mixture of defiance, renewed interest due to playing different teams, cheaper tickets and the fact that we were so close to becoming extinct.
