so the centre forward comes back a day late you give him a fine and a warning Morelos is the only one in the team with a physical presence the rest of the team is marshmallow  soft  we get knocked about all over the park

Yeah it's not like Alfie had to learn how to fit in with a set plan and didn't do it because he turned up late. On the showing tonight there was no fucking plan in the first place. Given the needs of the game and getting result and the obvious lack of other options I think Gerrard made a seriously bad call. Deal with your displeasure after the game. Use the only asset you have that can stand up to Hearts physically.

I was listening on the radio and it was as clear as day that they had given up because the tide just never turned, there was no fight back.

Great teams and great players make that tide turn by their effort and their character. That tonight was simply gutless. We aren't helped by officials who ought to be in a fucking circus with clown shoes and an exploding car rather than refereeing a football match, but too much of what went on tonight is down to Gerrard and the players. They let us down badly.

I'd prefer if we didn't start shouting about stripping titles. It's not about us. It's about the victims, and getting justice for them.

Let's not cause any deflection from that and then allowing people to focus on the validity of any such stripping claims as all it will do it is take people's attention away from the hideous acts, the ongoing cover-up and compensation for the victims and their families.

Could not agree more. This is about the victims and getting them justice after all the years of pain. Those who covered this up and let the perpetrators keep abusing boys for decades behind a wall of silence need to be held to account.

  4. It's interesting to see David Steele being castigated and vilified for his version of the "separate entity" defence with respect to his inaction over expelling Cyril Smith from the Liberal Party over his years of child abuse. Will the same people tearing Steele's argument and reputation to shreds be willing to hold Celtic and their relationship with the child abusers at their "separate" boys club to the same standard? I'm not holding my breath.

Schoolboy defending cost us a win today and not for the first time after the winter break.

Tav has regressed again and looks really short of confidence in anything he does - prime example is the easy chance at 1-1 that he squandered.

Alfredo looks like a little boy lost since the break and maybe off-field issues getting to him.

Most worryingly is the total capitulation of the team since we destroyed Celtic at end of December.

Back to the drawing board for our manager, his staff and the players.

Can't disagree with any of that. Hagi and Kamberi have been good acquisitions but they have been outweighed by the slump in form from so many others. If we can't hold on to a lead and press for another to make the game safe then we on a hiding to nothing. How many games have we lost or drawn from winning positions? To fucking many. How many have Celtic lost or drawn from the same? Next to none. That comes down to lack of character and lack of belief. Until we actually win a league we won't believe we can. It's a catch 22.

I think it's Alex Thomson of Channel 4?

Yep, that Alex Thomson, lionised as the journo that walked the backstreets of Basra.

Those lionising him were Phil McFournames, Captain Haggerty, and DrStu'. Thus, I imagine his arrival is at the bequest of Holicom?

For goodness sake. That's like Jimmy Saville being called in to do an investigative journalism piece on Jeffrey Epstein.

    City have breached FFP rules.

Juventus were caught cheating due to involvement in the appointment of certain match officials.

Rangers were done for a tax avoidance scheme and for not fulfilling tax obligations.

    The three things aren't comparable.

I agree they aren't comparable but then neither were the punishments. And who came off worse from it?

    They'll just appeal it

And they have a point in doing so. UEFA have acted like judge, jury and executioner here and that needs scrutiny if nothing else. City have the tenacity and the financial muscle to take this to the CAS and see what the outcome is. I wish we'd had the backbone to do the same to the SFA and the SPL. Sadly we'll never know what CAS might have said about the 5 way agreement/death sentence we were forced to sign.

Compare what happened to Saracens rugby club, in England's top Division for breaching salary cap: points deduction, guaranteeing relegation.

Compare it with what happened to us. Knocked down three fucking leagues and prevented from playing in Europe. We were singled out compared to everyone else. City, Juve, Saracens. Nobody got more screwed than Rangers did.

At least BT isn't publicly funded.

Indeed. Now I don't have to contribute to that biased bastard's salary if I choose not to.

Is Sutton not doing a good enough job with his one-man Rangers hate fest that he needs some kind of back up?

  11. You would think you couldn't make this up. But it's true in Scotland in 2020. The pain being felt by the families of these survivors must be intense and made all the worse by crass insensitivity like this. I hope the Gray family and all the others get the justice they seek soon. Sadly, as with the Hillsborough families, it won't with their government's help - it will be despite their government. Heads really must roll over this.

  12. Nice to see Gerrard not mincing his words about those senior players who didn't step up. The bar for entry into the first team has been seriously ratcheted up this season and I think the likes of Barker and Ojo will be looking for a new club before too long. They simply aren't good enough for where Gerrard wants Rangers to go and it sounds like he's not afraid to cut the dead wood from our squad if he knows there are better options available. If we want sustained success this is the only way to go.

  13. I would say I was looking forward to one of your legendary rants Cammy. They certainly spiced up Gersnet in the old days. But I'm rather hoping we keep playing in a way that no ranting is required. Here's to 55 and hopefully this year.

  14. Yep you can sense the fear of 55. They just can't deal with the prospect of it happening so soon after we were repeatedly told by pundit after pundit (usually ex-Celtic types) that it was years and 100's of millions away.

To hell with the media. All that matters is we do our talking on the pitch and keep up the momentum until the end of the season.
