But we have one last piece of European action to get through before 2019 disappears. Tomorrow's Europa League action featuring Arsenal, Manchester United, Wolves, and Celtic. Join us then.

BBC radio Scotland are covering ra Sellik live in Romania and at eight O'Clock when our game kicks-off, they go off air. Tonight will be the fourth time they have provided no coverage from Ibrox in a European game. It's premeditated, Jonathan Jurejko above is telling us, only four British clubs participating in Europa League action.

That is utterly indefensible. If they want to apply the logic of "we're going off the air before it starts so it doesn't exist" then they can strike Manchester United and Wolves from that list as well. They kick off at exactly the same time as us.

Damn right it's premeditated. And designed for one purpose.

Let's hope we give them something more to cry about tonight after their precious Hoops got beat.

Any media coverage on this yet?

It is the equivalent of ******. Simple as that. The excuses they use for hun could easily be used for ******, probably more so. Why would we really be singing against catholics with a team full of catholics? And yet they managed to get one categorised as racist in euro competition and cause us no end of concern, damage, money and time. It's maddening how bullshit and upside down it all is.

Surely that is what we should be demanding of the media in Scotland. If this was a Rangers player or official using the F****n word then they would be lining up with torches and pitchforks.

When I see Scott Brown's ditty on Reporting Scotland subtitled and with a bouncing ball so we can all keep in tune then I'll know we are really treated equally and fairly. Until then.....well it's obvious we're not.

I now suspect no longer employed by the club.

You would hope so but.....I doubt it. According to the latest from NBM, the F word is apparently the most offensive part of that tweet. The H word is just moronic.

No consistency and no honesty from the gatekeepers of what constitutes sectarianism who refuse to "call it out" when it's obvious for all to see. And certainly no class from this young lady.

  4. Stuck this in yesterday's League Cup aftermath thread but it's probably relevant here too

"Not made any better by the propaganda from Roddy Forsyth on the radio this afternoon that Rangers can have no complaints - not because Celtic scored a goal with three men offside but because we missed a penalty apparently as if the latter somehow justified the refereeing howler that lead to the former. Sorry Roddy, I used to respect you. You used to give an honest opinion, not just suck up to your paymasters. But clearly not for ages. The BBC own your arse and your opinions and your delight at their goal and Alfie's miss were palpable.

Let me apply some logic Roddy because you are clearly incapable of it. The two incidents are not related. Penalties can get saved and Forster today was just on fire and Alfie's penalty was poor, so I can live with that. What Rangers and every Rangers fan ARE entitled to complain about is piss poor refereeing and assistant refereeing. One Celtic player offside is unfortunate, two is careless but three of the fuckers a yard offside is certainly grounds for complaint. Complaint that we shouldn't have been behind to a goal that ought to have been chalked off. That's fair Roddy. That's reasonable. Go and find your brain because clearly somewhere over the last couple of years it's gone missing."

I don't pollute myself with BBC Scotland but it filters through to Radio 5 Live via the likes of Roddy who is held up as some kind of Scottish Football guru by the assembled BBC pundits south of the border. I used to have respect for Roddy because he seemed fair minded and, unlike many other Scottish hacks, wouldn't be too beholden to Celitc and Liewell but not any more. His updates on late Celtic winners are filled with unfiltered glee and our struggles seem to be accompanied by extra hot scorn. It's sickening to hear at times and that his is the primary mouthpiece on Scottish football to the rest of the UK is simply depressing. We aren't getting a fair crack of the whip inside Scotland - or outside of it. Surely a first trophy for a Gerrard Rangers is more newsworthy and exciting than simply another one for Celtic in this one-sided era. Apparently not. All hail Lennon, the mantra must be maintained.

Perhaps 26th has some thoughts about Roddy's fall to the dark side.

Not sure why you think that.

A more plausible explanation is that these are the most difficult matches he faces in Scotland.

I think that because I can think of two or three occasions when he should have scored but didn't and it should have been easier to score than miss. The 1-0 game at Ibrox last season when it thankfully didn't make a difference and the 2-3 loss to them at Ibrox under Murty when it certainly did make a difference come to mind. Sure they are hard games but not harder than some of the European games where he has been prolific.

Yet again , what is blatantly obvious is hidden because it’s a result against them , our support will never learn , our board will never learn , we play into our enemies hands at every opportunity, We Never Learn .

So what are you suggesting rbr? You got my attention but I'm not seeing your solution.

By lunchtime tomorrow, at latest, today's fhilth team will be fuck ing legends.

How we can take a positive out of that defeats me.

It's impossible right now. All we can do is hope that Alfie unleashes his frustration on Young Boys in a few days time and we get through that. I fear we will need to have a near 100% record against everyone else and win at least once at the Piggery if we are to win the league this season. And unless Alfie breaks his duck at the next time of asking I don't see that being straightforward. He is our talisman and we ask a lot of him. He just has a mental block against Celtic that he needs to break through. Any goal will do, even if it's in off his backside, it will do.

  8. Gutted by that. I probably feel worse than if we had been whipped 4-0 because it was so close and you felt that today Celtic were there for the taking. These are fine margins but once again we are falling short at a key time while they are digging in and getting results. It's hugely frustrating.

We deserved a cup today and Celtic didn't. That's the thing that's hardest to take.

Interesting to note the NBM never referred to the graffiti as sectarian.

Absolutely. That's the telling part. Apparently it's just moronic but not specifically sectarian. Fuck sake.

Surprisingly easy afternoon. We strolled it. Don’t think I remember MacGregor making a single save all game.

Onwards to Wednesday night which I think will be much more difficult. We can’t afford to drop any points .

Precisely. While today was great I would trade one or two of today's goals for a winning goal against the Sheep. That's where we came unstuck last season. There were games where we feasted on a hat full of goals but too often it was famine when it came to those scum. Get out of there with 3 points Rangers. That's all that matters.

Do we really need a Celtic fan's view on here?  I'm sure we could go into the Celtic forums if we want to read how we're not going to make it to the end of the season but there's no need for it here.

I agree and that article above does nothing to acknowledge the fact that we are much closer to Celtic than they would like us to be, despite the funding gap. This is going to be a close run championship, not the stroll that they are used to.

We await your assessment and analysis of the figures with interest Bluedell.

    Dog Whistling Dixie.

This morning's 'Call Kaye' on BBC Radio Scotland had a stand-in presenter, I think it was Laura Maxwell? Being topical, they had an hour's phone-in on Racism in Football, last night's events in Sofia to the fore? Well, not really, it was a convenient hook to hang Rangers. After the introduction, citing Bulgaria; it was brought home to the racism(sectarianism) charges brought against Rangers by UEFA/FARE. Callers were invited to contact the show and 'Call it Out'.

Of course, 'Call it Out' is the organisation formed by Angela Haggerty and Jeanette Findlay in the wake of Cannon Tom White being spat upon, outside his parish church, St Alphonsus on London Road, the Barras. The Dog Whistle worked, the first few callers were keen to equate Rangers fans singing sectarian songs with racism. A caller wanted to talk about Morelos and the racism he has faced, quickly let go in favour of some other caller, more on message with 'Call it Out'.

The conclusion to the item was Humza Yousaf, our very own Scottish Justice Minister who managed to loose all the evidence against nine fellow Sellik supporters, charged with hanging two effigies from the roof of Sellik Park's North Stand. One effigy had a Rangers scarf, the other had an orange collarette, both hung for over an hour above a dozen KAH(Kill All H-u-ns) flags. Humza promised strong action if and when racism is called out.

Kevin Clancy is appointed Referee for Tynecastle.

PQ did not discuss Kevin Clancy NOT being appointed to officiate at any Scottish fixture last weekend. It was his own fault, he did not award Sellik two penalties at Easter Road and Peter's will cannot be opposed. Kevin will be given another opportunity at redemption this coming Sunday and Peter will be watching. The Gang Hut expect no less of their Leader. Peter moves in mysterious ways, and that is NOT up for discussion. You can whistle Dixie.

I wondered how long it would take BBC Scotland to wallow in this particular shit, unburdened by any sense of hypocrisy. Barely 24 hours it would appear. Familiarly depressing and utterly pathetic.

Let's just keep winning. That's all that matters. The closer we get to 55 the more fevered their rantings will become. Fuck them.

  13. 6 minutes ago, Bluedell said:

You would think that Sturgeon should be praising Rangers fans for eliminating the sectarian songs, rather than making cheap political points.

That would require her to have objectivity and integrity, when it's clear that the SNP will twist any fact to suit their independence agenda. We could revise our entire songbook and not wave a single union jack flag but we would still be the enemy.

    Vote them out.

  14. Basically Celtic have been mugged twice away from home after Europa League ties. While that's welcome and we have taken full advantage, we will face the same challenge soon and we had better be up for it. We lost silly points in November-December last season and as long as we stay consistent and don't give them any encouragement I think we have a chance.
