  1. It is a wee bit alarming. It seems like we could be assembling a very large wage bill to win the 2nd division and in the mean time have learned diddly squat after all the sheite we have been through. Surely if Ally was half a manager he would be able to inspire and develope the kids that are already there

  2. Logos and badge look ironed on. Cheap training gear. Not a fan of the 5 stars either but i can see why we kept them this year of all years!

Agreed. Never liked the 5 stars tbh. I've always thought our monogramed RFC badge was timeless and should stand alone

  3. How can these guys say there is no comparison between what happened to Rangers and what is happening to Hearts? Both teams have been financially mismanaged by rogue owners that has lead to them entering admin. The by product being that the people that have suffered the most are the fans who have loyally paid to support to their team through the turmoil.

Maybe I'm being stoopid but on a basic level there is not much difference IMO

  4. Whenever the Rangers strip comes out, it's safe to say that there is a very good chance it will be poor. If we are going on percentages based on Puma 2013/14 output, their strips are underwhelming, cheap looking and follow a few very unimaginative templates. I genuinely wish we had secured a deal with Adidas tbh

  5. I would simply assume that Puma and Rangers can easily whip up a third choice strip to their hearts' content, whereas the first and the second strip probably needs to be checked out with other teams of the division (which?), clashes with other Puma strips out there, the ruling body's approval etc. pp.. Not knowing, just saying. There can be lots of little things that we have no idea about, things that can easily hold up any release.

Not sure Berliner. As someone who works with fashion retailers, I think it's incredulous that you would start a new promotional venture with the release the least important part of the range. Sport Direct and Puma will not be making their margins on a Rangers 3rdsstrip. That lies on getting out a decent home strip into the market. IMO this is poor.

  6. "Jim Hannah(facebook) Home top wont be out till August the third top will be out in 3rd week in July"

    WATP

I see our marketing dept. is living up to it's incompetent amatuer status once again... Why the feek would you release the 3rd strip before the home strip? That does not make any sense. Poor, poor, poor

  7. Ok we get it. It was a shambles last pre-season but please stop using this as some never ending excuse for...

    1. The complete lack of a cohesive style of play

    2. No notable signs of player improvement or development (infact it was the opposite)

    3. Perseverance with turgid long ball "tactics"

    4. Lack of general all-round fitness

    5. Inability to strike a dead ball or use them affectively

    6. Continually playing players out of position

  8. Asked one of our media folk to about the date of the Puma kit release ...

    Andrew Dickson ‏@rfc_dickson 10s

@GersDerBerliner Not that I'm aware of, sorry. It'll be released on the site as soon as we are able to do that

Can't help thinking this is a bit of a missed opportunity. I know we are changing suppliers but Man City have gone from Umbro to Nike and they have already played in their new kit and have everything available from their online shop

  9. Maybe the management should get all the players to take a ball home and look after it...nurish it...care for it...protect it. We need to get back to basics and learn to love the football. Saying that I'm not sure the management team are the people to do this...

  10. On the strip front...I see Man Utd might be jumping from the Nike ship like Arsenal and heading over to Warrior. Nowt confirmed yet. Not surprised tbh...Nike's strips have gone from bad to worse over the last few years. What they've done with Barca's iconic home strip is nothing short of a disgrace

  11. Just had a conversation with a mate who has been saying that the Rangers strip is online on an official Puma website? He also said it's up there in it's full glory beside the new Arsenal strip? I've checked various sites and found nowt? Has he been duped by some decent fakery?

Can anyone shed any light on this?

If admin want to bump this onto a strip thread, please do!! I couldn't find the strip thread...probably couldn't see it for friggin looking! Cheers

  12. IMO this is the kind of signing we should be looking to make over the next few years.

    1. He's young.

    2. He's shown decent potential shown in lower leagues.

    3. Low sales fee therefore minimal capital risk.

    4. Will command moderate wages.

    5. If succesful he could have decent sell on potential.

That's the way forward for us at the moment

  13. I have a sneaking suspicion Max that some of those in the press/media' date=' and their behaviour with regard to our club, may in itself be making the headlines in the not too distant future.[/quote']

I genuinely hope so and I will chuckle if it is anyone from that rancid organisation called the BBC

  14. Great article as always Dart but I for one will not hold my breath with reagrds the Media changing their focus on this whole messy affair. Their agendas are so friggin obvious that I have genuinely stopped reading/viewing most of the drivel that comes from the press these days. Saying that I did notice someone posted that bizarre article by English the other day. He opens up with a discussion about the all German CL final and somehow manages to end up crow barring another slanted peice about his favourite subject Rangers. Truly bizarre.

At the end the of the day, the media has been sewn up by our Eastend buddies for years now and the only thing you will see coming ou of this mess are negative stories

  15. Please, please, please...nooooo! Instead of taking a punt on a utility player from another continent who has hardly played in 4 season, why not actually scout a a young and eager player from the lower leagues in Scotland/England/Ireland. Look what Lambert did at Norwich FFS. He took lower league players and moulded them into a team that got promoted into the EPL. I sometimes get the feeling that our scouting system involves the following... "Ally, Ally..i have a player for you . You'll love him...he has a foreign sounding name and can play in about 4 positions wihtout actually excelling at any of them...."

  16. Right now we need to guarantee successive promotions, that logically seems incompatible with the "development" strategy. Trouble is the fans want latter but aren't prepared to give up the former.

Why can't we have both? I don't think anyone is asking for a development strategy that is ground breaking but simply a team ethos that will see us winning leagues by playing progressive and simple passing football. We are a million miles away from that at the moment

  17. Yep let's go back and let's keep going frigging back.. That's the friggin Rangers way. Why waste time looking for a fresh solution when we can just thumb through some annuals from yesteryear and call on some overpaid, overweight has beens? This type of short termism is truly depressing and as far as big Lee goes... Please shut up for a while. Sounds like you're more interested in getting back your old "mates" to Ibrox. Cue more pics of much laughter with McCoist and Co in training instead of actually practicing the basics like passing a friggin football.

    Sorry...this does my teets in!!!
