  1. to be fair they play like they havnt played the game before at times. managers coach players through games all the time. football is a very easy game to play, very easy.
  2. results. out of 3 competitions before september, all exits to mediocre teams on far less budgets than ours and i mean far less. that guy(plg) still had us in europe at xmas. the team stopped playing for him because he wanted change and they were too lazy to comply. mccoist has shown nothing of the sort on the park, nothing like it. his response to a challenge on the field was to crumble. we still had mcgregor and bocanegra, our two best players last season. our keeper being one of our better players tells its own story incidently. we could have and should have won the league even with the 10 point deduction. i dont buy the psychological excuse. as am i, over a year is being more than patient and nor do i make up stuff. next paragraph is utter nonsense and just shows how far some fans expectations have dropped. i would buy a season book, 4 in fact for the whole family. who stopped us training? who stopped our players running up and down sand dunes or doing pre season training? answer, no one. in scottish football, easy, we are rangers, players have been falling over themselves to come and help out. no one is asking for him to be sacked because of this seasons start, NO ONE. people have to grasp that, seriously. your last dig is pathetic deflection.
  3. like you said mate, we all show our frustrations differently.
  4. eh, no. maybe you should try and read threads before jumping in with mock outrage.
  5. it was a double winning squad andhe was allowed to add 9 of his own players to that and still made a complete mess of it. lafferty was not deadweight for goodness sake. that is ridiculous. whytes negotiations got ally 9 new players, not too shabby at all, for any club. it is not a completely new team either, we had a back bone already in place of around 6 first team players.
  6. rangers are a big part of my life and very important too, sad maybe, but it is. well he hasnt done very well has he.
  7. that first bit you simply dont know. guess work at best. is it not managers jobs and coaches josb to make sure players are ready, mentally and physically? team talks, one on one and as a whole. again, i feel like i keep repeating myself, not to you, this is not knee jerk, it is not about one result, it is about his whole tenure which has been a complete disaster.
  8. thankfully for me i am not jumping the gun after one game frankie. i felt the same last season too. there has clearly been no change in players attitudes or the coaching thinking.
  9. thats the thing that irks me too, he talks a good game, i have no doubts he knows what is wrong, but he has shown he cant fix it. the same square pegs in round holes. he has repeatedly spoke about exciting players coming to the club then signs kevin kyle. he speaks of fast flowing attacking football then all wesee is the long ball and zero fluidity to play. all the while he is on the sidelines arms crossed mouth closed and two assistants behind him mute. why is he not screaming to the wingers to show for the ball, screaming to midfielders to calm it down, get feet on the ball, screaming to defenders to stop punting it aiomlessly. why after that first half showing was there no change and no improvement? the same stuff we seen all too often last year, different players, to an extent, same riubbish.
  10. that peterhead result ruined my weekend, much the same way our european exit ruined the whole season for me. insults?
  11. mccoist could not get the european results le guen got. le guens failing was the attitude of scottish players in the dressing room, was that his fault though? debatable imo. saying that i dont believe these players are playing for ally and never have.
  12. domestic success is a given in scotland for rangers, we are up against only one other club, despite drawing our way to a uefa final the football on show for 4 years under him was a turn off, i hated it. i didnt mean disliking as a person, he is a club legend, but the way he had us playing and the respect he paid to lesser opponents etc made me angry at times. as a football manager i think he is vastly vastly over rated, possibly why he has not been touted for any other jobs anywhere.
  13. not nearly as boring as hearing the same few people desperately trying to justify allys position.
  14. a man like mccoist? as a manager, that man mccoist has been a complete flop, on the park an embarrassment to the club. anyone else would already be down the road after last seasons disgrace.
  15. what was the excuse for the same failings last season frankie?
  16. beating celtic at parkhead is the sort fo thing which will make him, not winning a part time league title. jim mcinally tactically had his number the other day, like so many other managers on tiny budgets compared to ally and all the riches and resources he has.
  17. there was no uncertainty in november and december.
  18. we have never had a "top" manager and will never again attract one. our current level is gus macpherson, terry butcher, jimmy calderwood, billy davies etc etc and quite frankly i would take any of them over ally. at least we know they can manage players, learn from mistakes and change things around when they are not working. lets be honest it would not be hard to improve on ally and co. i took a terrible disliking to eck when he was here, it was getting to that stage under walter as well, thankfully he walked away and i do not want to get like that with my favourite ever rangers player.
  19. what a farce, what about wallace? tell them to fcuk off ian.
  20. you forgot the long ball and the one pass/no pass passing sequence. no fluidity, no skill, no guile, no excitement, no pace. the same mistakes and the same negative and turn off football we had last year and the year before, the year before and the year before. i was desperate to get 4 season books this season for myself and my family, ally has just saved me a fortune.
  21. so do i but i aint holding my breath.
  22. thats is fair enough mate but please dont think i am jumping in here after one game, i didnt want him given the job in the first place and have yet to be won round by him after over a year in management. he just isnt cut out for it
