Was there think it was because of Austrians bad behaviour and think it was after a guy called,Nemetch, had spat on a Scottish player.
Also remember a Scotland game V Brazil when Billy Bremner had a right set to with Pele.
The game I remember with Pele was a pre 1966 World Cup game at Hampden. I was embarrassed to watch Bremner kick Pele for the entire match. Pele was kicked mercilessly during the World Cup and was eventually carried off against Hungary. Thankfully gifted players like Pele get a lot more protection these days.

The problem is that they are not that kind of player, none of them are offensive enough.
We are not going to get anywhere then - just a repeat of Tuesday night.

We have three midfielders who are behind the ball all the time. One or two of them must make runs into the box to open things up.

It was pace, imagination and a final ball we lacked.

I just love watching Scottish football. There will be plenty of Dutch football on tonight but i would rather watch Scottish.
I watched the second half of Ross County v Ayr United - good entertainment.

Why can’t everyone just be Rangers fans without needing special labels and special treatment.
Yes there's no need for an SNP branch of the Rangers Supporters Club ?.

Switched on the car radio today. It was half time in the Motherwell Hearts game - full coverage. Richard Gordon told us that full coverage of the Kilmarnock Celtic game was coming up, plus full coverage of the Ross County Inverness Caley SC replay on Tuesday night, then full coverage of Valencia Celtic on Thursday evening. No mention of Rangers Kilmarnock on Wednesday night ?.

The issue most certainly isn't the ability of our squad. While it could and I hope will be improved, these are the same players who played their hearts out in Europe and against Celtic a few weeks ago. They can do it but the attitude is far from right and the next week they will deliver the feckless display we saw today. It was obvious within five minutes which heads they had on today.
Somehow, I can't imaging these same players turning in these half-hearted performances two weeks in a row under Walter Smith. It may be time to take the arm from around some shoulders and insert a size ten up some arses.
The issue is the ability of our squad. Against Celtic and in Europe we get teams that open up against us so we can play some open attacking football against them. Against SPFL teams they have everyone behind the ball and rely on the odd break upfield. In the good old days we had Laudrup and Gascoigne to break that kind of blanket defence down. We just don't have the ability to pass and dribble our way through nowadays. I think we will need to go back to a big guy in the middle with someone to feed off him.

We need somebody who can run into the box and strike the ball well enough to score on a regular basis to back up Morelos or Defoe. Candeias and Kent don't appear to be that type. Davis appeared to try and fill that role today but it didn't come off for him. Hopefully Arfield is fit for Wednesday as he's the nearest to what we need.

If we play as we did today against Kilmarnock we will be out the cup.

It looks like Gerrard has wasted a fair chunk of our funds on the likes of Grezda, Davis and Worrall.
Questions will have to be asked if he can't rectify his errors in the Summer.
Davis and Worrall are only loanees, albeit on big wages. We can get rid in the summer. Grezda looks like a gamble that will not pay off.

Davis and Defoe have been very disappointing so far.

Dingwall is a Highland town. There’s a gaelic choir there. Nonetheless only a miniscule percentage of the population will be able to understand the Alba output.
What’s the point?
Don't BBC and other broadcasters get funded by the Scottish government to produce Gaelic speaking programmes?

Tonight, Big Dick announced that Jum Spence had been elected Chancellor of Dundee University.
Actually, Jum was unopposed.
Surely, another Dundonian such as Plug from the Bash Street Kids, Soapy Soutar, or the Bairn from the Broons could have stood?
Is Spence a synonym for Desperate Dan?

I saw Banks make a save from Denis Law at Wembley when we "absolutely" trounced them 3-2 in 1967. It was brilliant. I thought it was a certain goal but Banks dived backwards and pushed it round the post.

Replay a week on Wednesday apparently.

Seems he heard you because he was immense second half
Must admit he was a lot better second half. Defoe on his own up front doesn't work.

I like McCrorie, I thought he could be the next John Greig when he broke into the team last season but he has gone back the way. His basic ball skills are not good enough.

He is playing midfield wide right according to the team line up and he has scored as a striker from a corner! What's going on?
