  1. Gretna FC progressed from the bottom division to the Premier League for a fraction of the money Rangers have spent on players let alone a further £10 million. They also got to the final of the Scottish Cup whilst still in the third tier (Division 1 now) and thereby qualified for Europe. Rowan Alexander for manager?

  2. No!, not just gunslingers' world

I don't think most fans would bother if Dr Crippen was our chairman and Pol Pot was our chief executive, as long as we had on field success. McCoist has been given more than adequate resources and has failed to deliver.

  3. When you combine the 'paki' comments with all his other nonsense (bullshit and downright lies), to me it always seemed like a planned and staged exit on his part. Right at the start when he first arrived on the scene he said that he wouldn't be here for long and was pretty much only here to make some money and bugger off within a year and that's exactly what he did. All his BS about wanting to help the Club back to the top etc etc yada yada, was all just lies to sell season tickets and the IPO so that him and his cronies could successfully line their deep pockets asap.

He was still the only man (group) to bail out Rangers when "Rangers Men" failed to do so. He said at the time he was in it for profit. Let's hope we beat Albion Rovers on Sunday!!

  4. The great man made his debut at Ibrox against Aberdeen on 24th November 1956. The team: Niven, Shearer, Caldow; McColl, Davis, Logie; Scott, Simpson, Murray, Baird and Hubbard. The Dons turned out a smashing team that day, Harry's immediate opponent being Paddy Buckley a pretty nifty centre forward. 3 - 1 to the Light Blues. Johnny Hubbard scored a penalty! Sensation!

Three weeks later Harry was left half with Geordie Young at centre half when Rangers smashed title contenders Hearts 5 - 3 scoring Rangers' equalizer after being 0 - 2 down with a thundering shot from 20 + yards.

His last match was on 11th January 1965 when Rangers edged past Stenny in a SC tie 1 - 5. The team: Ritchie, Provan, Caldow; Davis, McKinnon, Baxter; Henderson, Greig, Millar, Brand and Watson.

Them were the days! A pal told me when he was 16 he played in a bounce match at Hampden at the time Harry Davis was coach of QP. He was running in on goal with the ball at his feet when he saw Harry approaching. The next thing he remembers is waking up on the treatment table with Harry asking him if he was ok - my pal's proudest moment!

  5. Needs about 100,000 to be hear in parliament or something.

Number shoots up quick enough at the moment but long way off.

I've signed but doubt petition reaching the 100,000 mark. 100.000 may mean but not necessarily that parliament will debate it. Better to get an MP to raise it.
