Hopefully Dave King and his new board have a clearer view of the way forward than this thread. Bring Ally back - no bloody way, promotion is vital - staying in the Championship is best

Seems we have been loaned players so we can rehabilitate them rather than play them.
Yes, mugs wanted, as usual.

I would have kicked black and any other player out of rangers of found guilt of betting against our team.
Isn't the whole Rangers team betting against itself? This would explain things.

I don't see any way McDowall can turn it round.

Years ago me and my pals missed our supporters bus back to Glasgow after a midweek game at Tynecastle and a stop-off at the pub. We managed to get a lift from the Toonheid Supporters bus. The bus duly broke down in Bathgate whereupon the younger members from the bus proceeded to try to break into a Newsagents just beside the bus. They were encouraged in their endeavours by the more senior members, "Screw it right" and such other advice. The police duly arrived but no arrests were made. Eventually a replacement bus got us back to Glasgow much to our relief!

Contact them through members section on RST website. You could also pm Plgsarmy on here.
Thanks, I tried to contact using facility on RST website but received zilch. Will try Plgsarmy.

Maybe a bit off topic but I joined RST for the £10 and got a confirmation email. I then bought a share but received no further affirmation.

1. Would I give him a go ? Absolutely, if his wages are low enough and his notice period short enough. McDowall doesn't want the job so better Rino who knows what the Club is all about and what the fans are all about - but, for me, a short term appointment only. We complained about McCoist being given the job with no managerial credentials, yet here we are fawning over a guy who has failed at two clubs in less than two years and walked away from another.
I wouldn't employ him, as you say his record is awful. I'd rather have someone like Jimmy Calderwood, he knows the Scottish game and has had some success. Give him the job until the end of the season on a relatively low wage.

Sorry to use this analogy but Fergus McCann arrived from North America, stopped Celtic going bust, paid off their debts, rebuilt Parkhead, stopped us winning ten in a row, made his club a plc and walked off with a big profit. He was not a "Celtic man", indeed he was detested by a large section of the Celtic support.

if I buy flea's what? And who is flea anyway?
Mr Flea is an American zillionaire who wants to invest loads of his dosh in Rangers. Why? because he likes us.

Yes indeed fan ownership is the way forward.

Conflict of interest - with regard to that other and very much competitive rival - springs to mind, as does the Walk to Canossa.
Thanks for the history lesson DB. I can just see Llambias prostrating himself before Lawwell and his "holy" court.

On what basis should he, or any other player, be given that task? I find it astounding, yet at the same time, unsurprising that anyone would make such a suggestion.
I took it as a quip!

worry not. can you see Lambias letting mcoist have any say in these matters..
Worry not? I don't think we can be reassured by anyone with power at Ibrox just now as to their motives and actions.

Surely some of them will play better from now until June (but not under Ally) knowing they won't get anything like as good a deal elsewhere?

Hopefully it will be up to a new manager to decide what to do with them, bearing in mind costs need to be cut.

What we see now is not Rangers. It's a fucking monstrosity and I'm close to giving up.
Bloody hell SBS, is your new avatar "the chosen one" a couple of months after being appointed Rangers new manager?

Good post but very depressing.

If Auchenhowie goes that diminishes Rangers FC. If Ibrox goes then that is the end, I can't see Rangers continuing after that.

It will be interesting to see if Hearts and Motherwell will make a success of fan ownership. Both have required the support of wealthy backers to aid them to their goal. If Dave King or anybody else was prepared to do this for Rangers then I would invest a few quid myself.
0 -
If somebody is daft enough to invest 50 million quid fair enough but I doubt it. The best way forward is fan ownership but Rangers will be a much diminished club, but an honest club.

They did the same at Newcastle. They just don't seem to care re fans. And it has worked for them so far.
Newcastle aren't in the Scottish Championship.

agree ,but doesnt fit with their actions. they seem to do everything possible to turn fans away. Why?
even a fool would do a couple of things that courted agreement
Looks like they just want to run Rangers into the ground, with very few fans left they can flog off Auchenhowie and Ibrox and walk off with a final return in their investment.

It still means King will have to raise a few million this month to keep Rangers afloat if he hopefully can reject Ashley's loan, then who knows how much more to put the club on a sound financial basis.
