  1. I'm pleased the RST are going - I feel they are unfairly treated on a number of issues You know only one 'group' has outright refused the meeting and that is Follow Follow - who also deleted threads about it. I don't understand that kind of censorship at all.
  2. There are two magazines I think any Rangers Supporter whether a member of a fully constituted organisation or not deserves to have a voice - These lads involved in Magazines, Websites, Radio Stations etc spend a good deal of time talking about the club and influence a number of people. Their input is appreciated imo - but then again I also value the individuals that are coming along representing only themselves who want to try to do something to help.
  3. -> I don't really see how you can state only one group has confirmed going? I edited the original post include UB - We had an RF presentation with them on Wednesday and they confirmed. RF is not a specific set of fans so we purposely didn't include them as a group as RF do not view themselves in that way (each member is allowed their own set of views) - But RF members will be there, including myself who is on the steering group. RSA I didn't have a contact for through social media which is where I contacted most people. TBO said they would try and send someone but I didn't get confirmation from them.
  4. It should also be noted that we appreciate Gersnet attempted to get someone along to the meeting but prior commitments meant it was not possible
  5. Agenda for Tomorrow’s Fans Meeting at The Louden Tavern: Ibrox Stadium – At 1pm Intent of tomorrow’s meeting: We would like to make an attempt to bring civility back to the Rangers Support and thrash out a ‘code of conduct’ for how fans interact with each other online and in real life. It has been a hard time for the support as different views about what is best for the club are prevalent but this isn’t about protests, boycotts, supporting the board or anything else. It is purely about Rangers Supporters meeting and finding a way to give each other the respect a Rangers Supporter should have with one another. This is not about who is right and who is wrong – it is about the support moving forward and people with differing views being able to speak to each other in a civil manner. We believe that by analysing some of the issues our support have we can look at what triggers any potential animosity and therefore find possible solutions to allow our support to engage in progressive debate. Agenda: • Introductions • Where we as a support are: o What the perception is o What do we believe the reality is: i.e. Real life v Online • Possible reasons for any issues between the Rangers Support that we can have an influence on o does our own behaviour contribute to any possible splits o Specifically what triggers issues that you have. • What can we do to minimise the hostility and have civil, productive debate. o Should we come up with a voluntary ‘code of conduct’?  What specifically should that entail  What should be the actions to those who do not hold themselves to such standards o Is there any other potential solutions? • AOCB Rules/Guidelines: • No shouting out without the microphone • No personal abuse of anyone • Do not mention any other groups (you can mention your own and speak in general terms) • We will be discussing what fans can do – There will be no discussion of the current politics of the club (i.e. Board, STs, or Dave King etc). • Be constructive • Be patient – everyone will get their say. Groups that have agreed to send representation include: Bridgeton Loyal Kinning Park Loyal New Livingston RSC Rangers Chat Rangers Media Rangers Supporters Trust Seventy2 Magazine Sons of Struth Union Bears Vanguard Bears WATP Magazine WATP Podcast The meeting is open to all members of The Rangers Family and if you want to come along please just let us know beforehand (although no one will be turned away). We also have a number of individuals attending representing themselves
  6. Due to immense demand we are very proud to announce that Graeme has agreed to do a second night for The Rangers Support. Tickets are on sale now… We are delighted that we have managed to secure a legend of British Football for a night at The Louden Tavern: Ibrox Stadium. One of the most admired men in Rangers History, Graeme Souness will be hosting a Question & Answer evening and we could not be more proud. Tickets for this event are extremely limited and are available from http://www.thelouden.co.uk/events.html. Priced at £30, this could be a once in a lifetime opportunity to meet a giant of the game. Doors will open from 6.30pm on the night with the Q&A scheduled to begin at 8pm Tickets are available on a first come, first served basis and all ticket sales are final We Are The People God Bless The Rangers The Louden Tavern: Ibrox Stadium - More than a Pub Official Partner of The Rangers Football Club *We are responsible for The Louden Tavern: Ibrox Stadium, 111 Copland Road, Ibrox, G51 2SL solely and are not involved in the operation of any other premises
  7. We are currently in the process of gathering together names of individuals and representatives of fans groups, RSCs, websites, etc who are willing to come along and help find a solution to the infighting amongst our fans. If you are interested in attending the meeting could you please email info@thelouden.co.uk (or you could dm/pm us) with your name and any group that you wish to represent or are a part of. To be clear, any individual who wishes to attend to try and help our support is more than welcome but we would appreciate an email so as to know the numbers. Regarding the format of the meeting, we are looking for suggestions on what specifically the meeting should cover. We are not discussing the politics at the club, we are only focusing on the way fans communicate with each other. This is not about which side is right or wrong. We do not need everyone to agree about everything but at all times we should be civil to one another. The meeting will be held in the lounge area of the pub and no alcohol will be served for the duration of the meeting. If anyone wants any other information, please ask. Thanks We Are The People God Bless The Rangers The Louden Tavern: Ibrox Stadium - More than a Pub Official Partner of The Rangers Football Club *We are responsible for The Louden Tavern: Ibrox Stadium, 111 Copland Road, Ibrox, G51 2SL solely and are not involved in the operation of any other premises
  8. Thanks, I'm not sure if it will work myself but I think we should at least try - And I'm actually a bit optimistic.
  9. We aren't - Infact the meeting will be in the Lounge and we will not be serving alcohol there. There is no other agenda behind this - there is an appetite to try and reduce the animosity in between fellow Rangers fans. Personally, I think the constant looking for conspiracy theories is one of the issues in our support.
  10. Its not about 'unity' its about civility - People have a right to think what they want but I believe, and there are plenty others that agree, is that we should not to resort to insults and the like when discussing things to do with the club between fellow Rangers Supporters. A code of conduct is one of the things we will be looking at and see if there is an appetite for. The thing is that in order for this kind of thing to work people have to look at themselves and their own behavior as that is the only thing that you can control A proper agenda will be looked at over the weekend and we will put it out for feedback and change bits according to demand. I'd like the differences in our support to discussed in a productive way online - 'Debate Not Hate' is my first cheesy attempt at a tagline - I'll come up with better soon enough lol
  11. Made sure you were on the list guys lol To my shame I forgot The Rangers Standard though!
  12. We are looking to put together a meeting of all the different groups of the Rangers Support. All the fans groups, representatives, forums, magazines, podcasts, radio shows, fanzines and anyone who wants to come along We would like to make an attempt to bring civility back to the Rangers Support and thrash out a ‘code of conduct’ for how fans interact with each other online and in real life. It has been a hard time for the support as different views about what is best for the club are prevalent but this isn’t about protests, boycotts, supporting the board or anything else. It is purely about Rangers Supporters meeting and finding a way to give each other the respect a Rangers Supporter should have with one another. 14. Here is an Email we have just sent out to 30 odd supporters clubs: Hi, I am a volunteer with Rangers First, a community involvement and fan governance vehicle set up in order to help the supporters gain transparency and a voice in the club. Our first objective is to obtain a 5% shareholding in the club in order to get us on our way to achieving authoritative transparent consultation (ACT) with the board of Rangers Football Club. RF is an apolitical organisation that is only interested in the betterment of The Rangers Family and is not seeking to divide anyone. All fans are welcome who believe in fan involvement at the club. Rangers First is a Community Interest Company that is government regulated to ensure that all proceeds go to benefitting The Rangers Community, all membership donations (from £5 per month) initially will go to buying shares until our goal of 5% has been met and ACT has been achieved. Subsequent donations will be used at the discretion of the membership as RF is a member led one member one vote democracy. If your supporters club or organisation would like to hear a presentation on Rangers First at your venue of choice, we would be happy to accommodate you. I believe that RF is a fantastic vehicle that will help the Rangers Support and the club and I would like the opportunity to let my fellow Rangers Fans hear the facts and decide if it something they would like to get involved with. All information on Rangers First is available at http://www.rangersfirst.org - If you know any supporters club that would like to hold a presentation please let us know. Thanks
  15. Welcome aboard - I'll get you the Louden Gold card sent through in the post

  17. After the sad news about Sandy, it has been decided after discussions with Walter that tonight’s Q&A will be rescheduled as a mark of respect to Friday 23rd May. Walter has obviously been very affected by Sandy’s passing and our thoughts and prayers go out to Sandy’s family and friends. This is a sad time for the whole Rangers Family. All tickets are still valid for the event, however, if anyone requires a full refund we will oblige over the next couple of days. Due to the lateness of the postponement and the possibility that this message does not reach everyone, we are going to open the pub tonight. If anyone needs any more information, please ask and we will get back to you. The Louden Tavern: Ibrox Stadium
