  1. Not that I know of - as a member of RF and the RST I don't see the issue as some do. I think we should be positive about each of the organisations and let the support choose which option they think is right for them and the club. All this 'my ball' stuff doesn't sit well with me. At the end of the day it's about our football team that we all love. Not about egos. If it's good for Rangers and the Rangers support then I'll be happy
  2. Well that's down to the members of both organisations to decide - OMOV I would need to understand the proposal. RF is about buying as a means to getting ACT where as BR is about pure FO from my understanding so which one would take precedence? I think they are two different vehicles that offer choice. I assume we will all vote in similar ways at the GM
  3. That accusation annoys me - as part of RF I have never undermined the actions of the RST - I'm a member myself. Personally I don't see the need, if RF is a success then it will help Rangers, if BR is a success it will help Rangers...either way I get what i want and what I care about. I prefer RF's model but anyone getting involved should be commended. It's the average fan that is the important one in either organisation. As without them (us) there is no way to help the club
  4. How has the uptake been in the last few days? Hopefully between BR and RF we can get a significant shareholding ASAP
  5. So close 1677 (http://www.rangersfirst.org/rangers-share-issue/) 13 more and I would have been happy
  6. I'll have to get back to you - not because i'm on another forum but I start work in 15 minutes with Mark Walters and Graham Roberts in the pub tonight. However, as someone who is on record as wanting a position on the board it surprises me that you doubt it will ever make an impact - makes me question why you want a position on such board? I know you want there to be expenses but I fully expect the membership to ratify what was discussed at the initial meeting of their being no financial reward for RF work so hopefully you are just being a pessimist. Now is the time. Lets do something for the club and the support.
  7. I agree mate, we all wanted the ticker from the start so happy to see it there now. That's the kind of transparency that I want to see and surely it will hold RF in good stead. Personally, I believe now is the time that something has to be done - I think most fans are at their wits end with it all. The retail section is really good - I have been consistently using the Amazon link (http://www.amazon.co.uk/?_encoding=UTF8&camp=1634&creative=6738&linkCode=ur2&tag=rangfirs-21) for the last month or so. Every little helps and I would wager RF have received at least the equivalent of another membership from myself. Its really easy
  8. With the video released yesterday there has been a significant upturn in the membership based on the ticker next to the video (http://www.rangersfirst.org/rangers-share-issue/) with dozens joining in the last day or so. Hopefully this is the opportunity for it to go 'viral' and let the average Rangers fan know about it. I have seen a good deal of encouraging feedback over the last couple of day and I'm opimistic about RF. We'll see I guess.

  13. Zero tolerance on the abuse. Though he now calls himself merlin so does that count? Need to go to a abuse decision panel to decide
  14. We didn't do formal minutes as the discussion was very fluid - however the take away from the meeting is to try and work together to come out with a code of conduct. I thought Ace from RM summed it up pretty fairly: "Ok folks, the meeting finish at 2:45pm Everyone attending agreed that as a first step, we try to reduce the amount of personal abuse that floats around forums etc. (yes, forums aren't the only place it happens) Initially, a first pass 'charter' will be produced for all who attended to review & make comment or suggest changes. This is aimed at Rangers sites/forums to sign up to and try to reduce the personal stuff that is thrown about. As for FB & twitter, as they are far more personal, the only real suggestion is 'if you don't like it .. block them' This was never going to be about one meeting to rule them all, it's a first step on a path to trying to improve the overall relationship Hopefully, the more it happens the better everyone relates to each other and, imagine it .... we start to agree on stuff." Though I would add the facebook/twitter section is to be elaborated on a bit - with the possible inclusion of a procedure for blocking abusive posters for instance
  15. I didn't think it a sly dig - it was an expression of opinion. There was no abuse in that post at all. The code of conduct is not about taking away people's opinions at all - it is about people being able to express them without abuse - debate and criticism is perfectly acceptable. What is the internet for if it is not to discuss things?
  16. The agenda was published before hand - I'm transparent. I'm also disappointed that after intimating to us that they would attend that VB did not appear. Frankly I think today was a worthwhile exercise where it might not be the thing to sort out all of our problems I am happy to have attended and think most there were in agreement. Could you clarify by what you mean by my capacity?
  17. I don't permit anyone to do anything - We live in a free country and what anyone does on their own time is their business - tomorrow's meeting is no secret. If you look at the rules listed earlier one of them is that we will not allow abuse of other individuals or groups. I don't know what you think will happen tomorrow. RST representatives have been in the pub on a number of occasions and never once had an issue (that I am aware of).
  18. I'm sorry I disagree. I made that post before anyone was announced as having accepted going - I think as (I assume) the largest Rangers forum online FF have a responsibility to the support as a source of unbiased information,. But that is my personal opinion and one which others do not share. Being involved in Rangers at any level is a recipe for rumour - Something which I have grew up around. I find the best way to tackle these things is to be honest.
  19. Well sadly FF aren't coming - Which disappoints me. Regarding the rest, it is up to them the degree to which they want to engage in the process of helping the online Rangers community become a more civil place. I'd like to think that by attending they are showing that they care at least. At the end of the day you can only control your own actions in all of this - but I hope to see some insights coming from tomorrow's meeting.
