That's interesting, thanks. I intentionally dropped the 'winger' back in my diagram to include a left-midfielder - to give a few more options in the vote - so it's technically in-between LM and LW. I'm still convinced a left-half-back is one line back (or deeper?), but I'll concede that this is not my specialty.

4-4-2 is boring. You just get the same type of players. We need to open it up to include different roles.

I think I'm going to change our formation to a 4-3-3. The front-two vote will be quite boring, so we'll add a bit of difficulty.

Baxter, surely? I never saw him play but I've been mesmerised by clips for decades. I thought this would have been an easy decision.

I wanted to bring in different types of midfielders. I considered just having one striker and bringing in another central-midfielder (4-2-3-1), but I thought most would want the front two.
