  1. From what @Scott7 explained, the central Full-back would be the Centre-half, because, in play, he has moved from the yellow line of half-backs. And I get lambasted for talking about situational back-threes which is exactly the same thing...
  2. I don't agree with the positioning, but here we are: Player Count Baxter 7 Laudrup 3 Albertz 2 Cooper 1
  3. As it's the international break, I thought we could partake in a little exercise doing the rounds on social media. Every day we'll pick the best all-time Rangers player for each position. The most voted player gets added to the lineup. Yesterday's winner: Baxter Day 7: Attacking-midfield. Who is the best all-time Rangers Attacking-midfielder? [LCF - Day 9] - [RCF - Day 9] Baxter - [AM - Day 7] - [RW - Day 8] Grieg Robertson - Butcher - Gough - Jardine Goram
  4. That's interesting, thanks. I intentionally dropped the 'winger' back in my diagram to include a left-midfielder - to give a few more options in the vote - so it's technically in-between LM and LW. I'm still convinced a left-half-back is one line back (or deeper?), but I'll concede that this is not my specialty.
  5. What's the formation? 3-2-5? You've all got Baxter playing Left-wing, you numpties! I will die on this hill!
  6. I can't believe Cooper misses out... I am appalled.
  7. You'd all be lost without me! LOST, I TELL YOU!
  8. Cooper left, Laudrup right is where I'm heading.
  9. Was Cooper not Left-wing? Exactly. Baxter should have been DM / HB, IMO.
  10. If I say it's left-wing, it's f*cking left-wing.
  11. Baxter on the wing, though? Aren't we just shoe-horning him in?
  12. Just providing some options.
  13. Cooper, Albertz, Conn, McCann, Lovenkrands (?) ... Kent? Rothen? 👀
  14. It doesn't have to be a winger, per se.
  15. That was an easy vote: Player Count Grieg 8 McCall 2 Hemdani 1 Baxter 1 S. Davis 1 H. Davis 1

  17. Nope - I'm sticking with what I had: 4-1-3-2.
  18. 4-4-2 is boring. You just get the same type of players. We need to open it up to include different roles.
  19. I think I'm going to change our formation to a 4-3-3. The front-two vote will be quite boring, so we'll add a bit of difficulty.
  20. We can drop a striker for another midfielder?
  21. It doesn't have to be a purely defensive choice, hence the half-back: I thought Davis should get a mention and he is a deep-lying playmaker.
  22. Right-back vote: Right-back Count Jardine 7 Stevens 6 Tavernier 3 Hutton 2 Shearer 1
  23. Baxter, surely? I never saw him play but I've been mesmerised by clips for decades. I thought this would have been an easy decision.
  24. I wanted to bring in different types of midfielders. I considered just having one striker and bringing in another central-midfielder (4-2-3-1), but I thought most would want the front two.
