Does it link in with XG?
No. It's the defensive structure when we have the ball.

You mean the defence rests.

You're not wrong today, but no.
Rest as in the remainder: the defensive structure when we have the ball.

This linesman on our right is hopeless.

We also don't seem to know what a second ball is.

Our rest defence (I'm introducing a newer football term to the group) is non-existent. We just leave them free on the transitions.

FGS is still in play in the GPL.

The Championship title/promotion race has been brilliant.
More twists last night, with Leeds drawing and Leicester losing.

I don't think it matters too much where he's signing players (he may have contacts, but it will be mainly through Antwerp's scouting network; if we don't have a network in SA it won't matter).
What matters is how well he's signed first-team players and their increase in value.

I think they should abandon the game and award us a 0-3 win.

The Everton run-in is interesting.
They have Chelsea, Liverpool and Arsenal which you wouldn't expect much from, but their other games are all against teams around the relegation zone: Luton, Sheffield Utd, Forrrrrrest and Brentford.
Eminently winnable, but also quite dangerous.

There are rumours that Liverpool have made a deal with Amorim to succeed Klopp.
Other sources refute this, though.

I'm of the opinion that it's wingers / forwards that is the most pressing priority in the summer.

2 defenders and the keeper played the ball.
Stevie Clifford argued that attempted blocks and clearances doesn't change the phase of play. so the ref was correct to overturn the goal. I've not seen any references to rules that state that, but I think he did a bit of reffing, so he may know better than us, but I'd tend to agree with you.

Var can only be used for fouls in the current phase of play. Two Celtic defenders had played the ball before Dessers scores. The ‘foul’ was committed in an earlier phase of play
var can only return to previous phases for red cards, violent conduct & mistake identity I believe.
Dermot couldn't bring himself to say so, but his explanation suggests that he thought it was virtually re-refereeing the game, which should not be (is not?) allowed. It's the subjectivity of where the phase of play ends and begins.
Of course, with the standard of our referees it's going to go against us.
(He did think - as we all do - that it was a foul, but the referee played on in the moment.)

Everton have been deducted another two points.

Dessers and Lundstram played well with both Matondo and Sima making a big difference with their pace and direct running but for me there can be only one winner and that is big Dujon Sterling.
His first pass aside i though he was by far our best player.
Except for when he gave the ball away leading to their first, or when he was involved in the comedy of errors for their third?

That’s as maybe but all this pish about the number of passes interceptions throw ins fouls etc go for nowt when a player scored in about thirty seconds the overall stat on that should be defensive fuck up that should be on the stats list 😆
'Errors leading to goals' is also a stat...

It has to be a clear and obvious error. Compare and contrast to the handball in the game at Parkhead.
I accept that there's an argument that it was that, but it also has to be in the same phase of play, and I'm not convinced it was. I'd have thought a new phase of play starts when the first cross is blocked
I don't think it does, because of the goal. Don't quote me on that, though - I'll wait for Dermot.
The referee may have seen it, but he did make the wrong decision as it was a foul. That is a clear and obvious error. That's just my opinion.
Yes, for me, I think the length of time between the plays is the issue. If VAR have got it wrong, that will be where it is.

The ref clearly saw it so was it an obvious error? I don't think it was.
I also don't believe it was in the same phase of play, based on the way that the EPL is reffed, but I'm not clued up about the exact rules on that.
I think they go back to it because the end result was a goal, even if the referee did see it.
I'll wait for Dermot at 11:00 before speculating, though.
