Our xg was 3.65 or so and we scored an og and a pen. Our lacklustre powderpuff forward line has been clear to see for ages, not addressing it ( or addressing it with silva) in Jan is a massive blunder
The question remains, how could we have addressed it in January when we had no money to spend?
We brought in loans, some with options / obligations to buy in the summer.

Clement is in the same position as his 2 predecessors.
Hes inherited a squad full of players he never signed who aren’t up to the job and can’t get rid off them.
Do we let him sign players in the summer like GvB and Beale did then when they’re not good enough sack Clement around September/ October and bring in someone else to see what they can do?And if he doesn’t work start all over again in a year’s time
It's a cycle that needs broken and SG did break the cycle (took him 3 seasons) but what he did was improve us in Europe (generated much need income) and found a way, very quickly to beat Celtic on a regular basis.
When we won 55, the board patted themselves on the back and failed to back the manager. That should have been a springboard, it's now just a distant memory.
We have very limited disposable income (even Beales spree last pre-season was circa £6M net spend) and not getting to CL limits us further. Not having a good player trading model is also killing us.
It's not up to you, me or the wider Rangers support to come up with solutions, that's up to the board and the footballing people employed by the club.

Nothing much has changed really, we had a good honeymoon period under Clement but nothing has changed in as much as we need a squad rebuild this summer. Unfortunately the Jan signings have largely not worked either through injury, lack of desire or lack of skill.
Correct - Gio and Beale also delivered a decent honeymoon period then we reverted to type. We appear to be doing the same under Clement.

I think what he’s saying is we shouldn’t be relying on a o.g & a penalty.
We created chances & were in good position plenty times today.
No, but we should be able to rely on our defence (and keeper) to stop Ross County from scoring 3 goals.
Let's not kid ourselves, Ross County got in as good as, or better positions today (and missed) than we did today.

Any striker - which is the norm at every other club - could have taken any of Tav's penalties.
In any case, no matter the credit he has, every game requires that he shows up and if he doesn't, critique will come his way. What did he do today bar converting a penalty that didn't mean anything?
Hahaha - what striker at our club has the goals and assists of Tav?
He was poor today, but so was every other player (who started or brought on).
So given your thinking, if any other player took the penalty today, it would have been indulgence?

As well us being unable to defeat Celtic, we have dropped 11 points to teams who have finished in the bottom 6.
Let's be brutally honest, we were only in the title race as Celtic have regressed.
We have the same failings under Clement as we did under Gio and a Beale.
I'm not writing Clement off but we can't deny that recently, his team selections and tactics have been baffling and have cost us dearly.
We need a huge change in mindset right through the club. The honeymoon periods are over.

An own goal & a penalty!!!
Those would have been sufficient for the three points if we could have defended properly.

The odd assist aand penalty papered over many a mediocre performance like today. Simple fact.
Hahaha - here's another simple fact. Without the odd assist and penalty, we'd be further behind than we are now.

Oh well. Before todays game, according to most observers we had to go to the pig sty and beat them. After today we still have to go and beat them. Getting maximum points in the other games might be the bigger ask IMO.
We look incapable of beating anyone right now.

1st time we've lost to Ross County - couldn't have came at a worse time.
Anyway, said at halftime last week, it's the hope that kills you.
We've stumbled along since losing to Motherwell but today feels like the final nail in this seasons League challange.
Roll on next season.

Tavernier's letter of indulgence for another sub-standard performance ...
Hahaha - so when he's had a bad game he's not allowed to take a penalty - mental

Right, who's gonna be today's Scotty Arfield?

It's possible to buy two or three defenders and one striker.
With what? Chocolate buttons?

I’m sorry but Dessers had 3 easy chances today I’d expect any decent forward to score. Until we get a striker who can get 20 plus league goals we ain’t winning the league again
So Dessers is the only forward player who's allowed to score goals? Dessers is our top scoring forward player.
He's not good enough for us but he's not solely the issue.

Both positions need looked at. I'd be worried if Clement thought either was good enough.
The whole squad needs cleared out - but that's not possible in one window. Our need for defenders who can defend far outweighs the need for attackers.
That's 2 consecutive games we've conceded 3 goals, this week to the team 2nd bottom of the league.
Can Shankland play left, right or centre back?

Questions need to be asked of manager - his recent selections, set-up and tactics have been mysterious

Most strikers wouldn't be any worse at defending than Tav, Barisic or Goldson have been today.
Which was actually my point......
Our defence is in far more need of change than our forward players.

Utter dross - if only we had signed a striker in January who could defend

Any chance the climate change in Dundee can swiftly move to Dingwall and get this game called off?

Their keepers saves land away from goal, ours go straight to attackers.

At least it wasn't straight after the winter break this season.

But who do you replace them with?
Take the back 4 as an example - none of them up to the job.
Would a back 4 of Sterling, King, Balogun and Yfeko win you the league?
