She took the designation in December 2016, and immediately supported the proposed £32 million investment in the new channel. A klondyke for lots of existing Producers and Presenters. The channel has bombed, it began poorly and got worse, a lot worse. Apparently, there has been dozens of shows barely registering any viewing figures at all. Sixteen shows returned figures of zero.
Thius, she has stated her intention to step down, hoping to go early Autumn. Under four years is an embarrassment. Already, luminaries such as Cosgrove and O'Neill are flagging up launches of Podcasts. A lot of the usual suspects have grabbed their share of the new channel's budget, and are running.
She pushed this show very hard internally. The budget was never sufficient She was told it would be a disaster by people who knew. And a disaster it is.
She is walking away having earned £180k per annum and she has been there for 30 years working her way up the salary scale to its present rate. Her BBC pension pot will be circa £2.5m possibly more. Absolute disgrace of an organisation not fit to serve the public.
BBC Scotland would fail in any business other than one where they can legally extort money from ‘customers’.

Come on Rangers kick on from this! Just what we needed! Historic night. Surely we’ve never won 3-2 from 2-0 down ever before in Europe?

And a stupid needless booking for Morelos
It was stupid but if that is a yellow and applied consistently for that level of dissent then we’d end up with a lot of 5 a side football.

If it evens itself out we will get 15 penalties at Parkhead after the split.

No goals conceded at home would be my priority. Confident we can score over there and make it a real one off cup tie.

I did notice that but wondered if they did it to keep in with Rangers, rather than saying that it wasn't their fault.
One possible scenario is that Celtic know that it was Traynor and that's why they're wanting more information from Sky and why they have banned them.
If Celtic has a grain of morality they would be condemning racial abuse at Parkhead as reported by one of their own fans, endorsed by police charges and heard in social media recordings. They are clearly trying to implicate Rangers in false racism accusations in order to then create a story to drown out the actual racism (and sectarian bigotry which everyone has forgotten about) that took place in their stadium by their fans on 29th.

I'm sure it sounds incredibly woke to point out all this racism but anyone with half an ounce of honesty knows that there's probably very little actual racism involved in Scotland ... other than perhaps the nationalist hatred of the English. That doesn't mean there isn't a very real problem.
What Morelos and many like him are suffering is the cold, bitter expression of sectarian bigotry and deep-rooted tribalism. He's being attacked at every turn but not because he's black. It's clearly and only because of his association with Rangers. If Morelos didn't play for Rangers he wouldn't be attracting these racist comments. If he wasn't black but was still Rangers star player then they'd be howling some other abuse at him. The people who shout racist abuse at football generally don't direct the same comments at their own black players ... any more than Rangers fans abused Jorg Albertz or Lorenzo Amoruso for being catholics.
No, the problem here is two-fold. Firstly that too many people are so caught up in the hate-filled fabric of petty lives that they do things like this - anything like this - any excuse to vent their spleens at "the other side". Secondly, that there is a receptive public only too willing to perpetuate the situation by pretending this sort of thing is genuine racism, rather than just another example of the squalid nature of much of Scottish society. Ask yourself, for example, why something as patently corrupt as the SNP has prospered without a semblance of achievement.
I would agree racism is not a big issue in Scotland Bill but if he is called a black B it is racism however it’s dressed up. It doesn’t matter if they don’t shout racist abuse at their own black players. They are using pejorative phrases and the first thing that enters their heads is the colour of the guys skin. If for whatever reason they start to dislike their own black players then these people will be capable of racism against those players.

He’s been well and truly filleted.

The players telling him to stay in the pitch was a bit odd.

Listened to that and only reinforced Whyte was a gullible shyster who got shafted by better skilled deviants and he is not to be trusted. Fair do’s to Tam Cowan. He called it out for what it was. Cosgrove came across as a complete erse.
Judges as high as UKSC and far more credible authorities than the likes of Whyte, Cosgrove, Spence, English, Gordon , or moon howling celtic and other rival fans have made clear reference to the differentiation between club and company.
HMRC, BDO, football authorities, ASA, etc. QCs and law lords have all endorsed difference, and for Spence’s benefit a QC specialising in tax and the UKSC have explicitly made clear no criminality involved with EBTs. Not sure what ‘former law lecturer’ Spences legal credentials actually are but it’s just as well for him and any potential clients he became a journalist and not a proper lawyer.
BBC Sportsound can’t even calculate how many games Celtic need to win to confirm they are champions. I’m not taking their opinions or insinuations seriously, nor am I concerned with Craig Whyte’s view on anything - unless I decide to embark on a life of greed, lies, deceit and general immorality.

This thread is nonsense. We have improved massively from Ally, Pedro, Warburton, Murty. Since Gerard arrived we have played Celtic off the park in 5 games. We have qualified twice for the EL groups and now the KO. We have been robbed blind in a cup final and been the victims of atrocious refereeing all season. Pre Gerrard the scum were annihilating us.
He’s made some mistakes but that was to be expected and part of the package. We have some very good players and we need an ongoing upgrade. We were never going to turn this round quickly unless someone was going to hand over £50m and even then FFP would negate that possibility.
The slump is disappointing but SG will know what needs to be done.

Very good performance. Well done to them all.

Difficult day. Just need to keep winning even if we’re poor. Our dip in form could end. That’s what happens in football. A few wins on the trot and a few goals and everything will look very different.

The dimwits today on radio were all saying Celtic had to lose 4 games to lose the league. They can actually lose 2 games against us and draw one other and they can still lose the league. They really are hopeless. Not one of them picked up on this despite them repeating it several times. We pay small fortunes for their salaries, pensions, expenses and this is the best they can do. Utterly inept, over payed and biased.

What’s this shite about soliciting fan feedback when years of supporting this club has shown so clearly that the last people that will ever be listened to are the fans. Dear SLO, fuck off and waste someone else’s time.
The food has been atrocious at Ibrox for decades. Ive never seen a fan survey despite the common knowledge of how poor it is. Eat that rubbish, give us a fiver and shut it.

Sorry seems to be the hardest word?
It's Sad, so sad(so sad)
It's a sad, sad situation
and it's getting more and more absurd
The above three lines are from the chorus of a Taupin/John composition. They will be most familiar to current Sellik season ticket holder, Graham Spiers. Today, Graham took to social media to lend support to Michael Stewart's bizarre performance on BBC Radio Scotland's midweek, 'Sportsound' show. Paraphrasing, Graham believes there exists an exciting opportunity for a hip, young gunslinging PR Guru at Ibrox, the current incumbent with 40 years of experience is past it. Maybe, Elton John will put the necessary music to the burgeoning narrative? This will allow ra Bhoy in Corduroy to appear live on TV for a third time, fingering his organ through a medley of Elton melodies.
Tonight's 'Sportsound' opened with the following :
"We apolgise to James Traynor for the discussion on Sportsound last night. It was not fair and balanced and he did not have the opportunity to respond and on this occasion we did not adhere to our Editorial values and standards. We have reminded those concerned of their responsibilities to follow our guidelines whilst working for the BBC".
Last night, Mikey went Tonto. PQ CSC don't care what the animals say, thus Michael was pitching for his dream job, Minister for Sport in an independent Scotland. He queried Morelos being interviewed by SKY on Friday, and the piece not being aired until Monday. This ran interference on Sunday's revelation on the tamperer of the Columbian's car being revealed as a being employed by Alfie's wife. He blamed this situation on James Traynor. Further, James Traynor is a dangerous man and a bully.
Mikey revealed he was being accused of murder on social media because Traynor had fed the Daily Record the line about car breaks being interfered with, and this is not on. Morelos claiming racism is not on either, Mikey demanded, "show me the evidence"? Is Mikey blaming the victim, is he suggesting Alfie is a liar? We should be told. Another demand for evidence was followed by, "the difference between the Griffiths incident and the one with Morelos, was that Morelos planted his foot into McKenna's groin". Oh, and racism is unwanted in Scotland, Derek McInnes was complaining of Logan being a recipient and that's wrong too. No demand for evidence, I note.
Consumed by bitterness and idiocy, Traynor got it again before widening his demands for Rangers to provide evidence of break tampering? The blunderbuss was now fully loaded and primed. Mickey leveled and went off half-cocked. Rangers do not do things the right way, They got confrontational, went to war with the council over their application to launch a Fan Zone. James Traynor was behind this too, and he asked if we knew he sent written pieces to Craig Whyte for approval before publication?
Since the start of this season, Mikey was given a platform to get after Craig Levein. He also stated he agreed with the Green Brigade, particularly their political aspirations. He ridiculed Rangers supporters claims of crushing outside Rugby Park, insinuating too many Rangers fans were inside the allocated stand because of forged tickets. He was taken on by both Neil McCann and Billy Dodds after saying orange strips had no connection with Rangers. Both former Gers told him with certainty that the Advocaat Dutch period was the connection. You would think BBC Scotland should accept some responsibility?
In fairness, I heard Kenny McIntyre take him on some months past for his preferred prejudice, He called him out for inconsistencies in his opinions on incidents involving Rangers players and players of other teams. McIntyre has paid for it ever since, both Cosgrove and Cowan have continually mocked his support for Rangers. The principled solidarity shown for Chris McLaughlin or Jum Spence is NOT for H-U-NS. DrStu' is occasionally garrulous, his excitement betters him. He revealed in early Autumn that Michael Stewart would be willing to take on the job as Compliance Officer, but only if he was guaranteed anonymity.
Although BBC Scotland has apologised to Traynor, there is no apology to Rangers or Rangers supporters. Further, Michael Stewart has not apologised to anyone. The podcast of the show is not available on BBC Scotland and the Daily Record has asked for an apology too. The fall out will continue because for Mikey, SORRY seems to be the hardest word.
I hope he doesn’t apologise. I actually hope he repeats the accusations and is taken to court.

That's more like it from Club1872.
The psychosis from Celtic and their fans was always going to reach hysterical proportions as their sense of absolute entitlement was eventually challenged by a successful Rangers. The rest of this season will see ever more desperate reactions if Rangers continue to emerge as the superior team. And as I've repeatedly predicted, Neil Lennon will not only struggle to manage the pressure but will actively contribute to our title win.
In a nutshell.

The main reason for the offside rule in the first place was to provide structure to the game and stop attacking players standing on the opponents goal line. The changes nowadays where a toe anywhere in the attacking half is found to be offside has become ridiculous. If VAR is to not ruin the game the ‘clear and obvious’ must apply because that would take 2 seconds to resolve in 99% of cases.

My partner is from S America not too far from Colombia and confirms the gesture means ‘the finish’ or ‘the end’. Alfredo should simply be advised not to use it here again as his intention will be interpreted differently. End of story.0 -

FARE have provided reports this season that has seen UEFA close 6,000 seats at Ibrox over two group games in the Europa Cup. The cost to our club is circa £200,000.
Sean Huddleston could have been the FARE representative penning those reports.
Sean is born and bred in West Belfast, his tertiary education appears to have been conducted in Scotland. Sean has been a season ticket holder at Sellik Park for five years, and a shareholder these last three. Further, Sean has been a volunteer worker at ra Sellik museum and visitor centre for six years. His social media pages also mention his position as an established writer on the Celtic Underground.
Someone should ask Stuart Cosgrove if FARE have an objectivity problem?
Doubt he would have been in attendance. They have rules whereby opposing supporters can’t get involved in the team they oppose.
He is blatant in his affiliation and that’s the issue. He writes material on bigotry for FARE yet retweets bigoted posts demonising Rangers fans as ‘Manky Mob’ and calling us c”nts.. His twitter following profile is hard left, conservative catholic, west Belfast, Republican. I could argue that isn’t a problem, it’s a mess over there and you are entitled to your views. But I couldn’t defend his status in FARE and their relationship with UEFA if he is a member of FARE and holds such views and affiliations. I’d argue he was a bigot and FARE are bigots who do not (or perhaps do!) their employees.

“Rangers lost to a clinical finish from Julien from a superb Christie free kick brought about by an atrocious hack on ‘French Eddie’ by Goldson who was lucky to escape a red card. Julien may have strayed marginally offside if some TV angles and Sevco fans are to be believed. But he didn’t know he was offside, McGreogor the H*n keeper didn’t know he was offside, 50,000 fans didn’t know he was offside, and the assistant referee who was perfectly positioned could not have reasonably flagged for offside due to several other Celts who were potentially in an offside position obstructing his view”

No reason why you can’t have one. But if you are going to do it it doesn’t cost £32m pa especially where that £32m doesn’t even represent £32m investment in new productions and talent.
She was strongly advised. She should have told London that it won’t work. She didn’t, it hasn’t and many other areas of her organisation such as Sportsound continue to operate an embargo against hundreds of thousands of people who contribute healthily to her salary and pension pot.
Let’s be clear as well on the Rangers issue. BBC Scotland do not operate just a boycott of Rangers. They operate an embargo against all Rangers fans in the country by prohibiting and blocking appropriate coverage of our matches through ‘editorial choice’ (no laughing at the back), and last night was a spectacular example of their bloody mindedness and failure to see reason in their ongoing deprivation of Rangers fans rights.
No wonder they can’t run a national channel. They can’t even cover football properly.
