You must've missed my additional comment that these things are always likely to happen.  That's regardless of bans, abuse on forums by people living in America and Ireland and also regardless of attempts to educate them - because we'll always have a percentage that a) drink too much and b) don't care.

I said 'we' (supporters) need to make it clear.  Not 'they' (the board) because they already have.

I didn't say 'forget' banners and I didn't say they're 'good PR' either.  Stop jumping to silly conclusions.

If that's directed at me, I haven't abused anyone?

UEFA won't sanction Rangers for a banner in an airport.

Get rid of them?  Capital punishment or lifetime bans - what do you reckon?

These people follow Rangers all over Europe.  Some of the behaviour is not exactly useful but calling them names and demanding bans might not be as credible as trying to educate them about the damage they're doing.

Leave the perma-offendedness to the yahoos and ScotNats.

    Yes ban them from attending.

I don't know who's calling these people names, but it's a bit strange to defend them from name calling and at the same time attempt to downplay the message on their banner?

You might feel a little different about these things if you have to walk into work In Ireland with colleagues and friends who question you about these things.

What is said on football forums is often incorrect.  This was a good example of that.

If you've ever heard Sweet Caroline at a Rangers supporters function or on a supporters bus, you'll know the add-on had nothing to do with the F word.

I really wish Rangers supporters would realise certain words and songs will harm the club and box clever.  This isn't going to go away and needs to be cut out at European matches.

I don't know, but one of my colleagues asked me about a banner saying somethings about f******.  It's embarrassing to say the least.

  4. Statement from Green in 2012:

"Lord Nimmo Smith has said that Rangers FC is a recognisable entity which continued in existence notwithstanding the change in ownership. He also stated that Rangers FC, the club, includes its owner and operator. The commission has in effect ruled that Rangers and its history did not die on June 14 despite numerous reports to the contrary. This means that Rangers FC and its owner, i.e. me and my consortium, remained a member of the SPL even after the change of ownership. The bemusing part is that no one at the SPL or SFA appeared to realise that. The SPL made the club (including its owner and operator) reapply to be a member of a league that the commission says it was in already"

I'm not quite sure what part of his court case hinges on this, but I don't see how he can be taken seriously with this line at all.

  5. The fact that we're bringing in youth on loans could mean a couple of things:

    1) Warburton doesn't have faith in some of the youth squad already at the club.

    2) We are signing loans with an eye to pursuing a purchase at a later date.

If we don't have the quality of youth required already at the club then there isn't much point in playing them. Hopefully this will change in time.

  6. This Reed chap sounds like just the sort of player we need. Although we're not agreeing signing on fees with the clubs for a few of these loans that doesn't mean that the players won't end up here permanently. For instance King may be a hit and if he enjoys his time here then the pressure to sell from Hearts will be high as the player will push for it himself. It's almost like we're getting a risk free trial period for a lot of these players.
