  1. Certainly was , don't visit enough now to warrant being a member , but will always defend the VB guys

Funny how some forum names stick with you. Likewise, I still feel well-disposed to VB, some really great people, but somewhere along the line I felt it became a little too dictatorial and opinions were increasingly herded into an ever-narrower corridor ... so I'm no longer part of it either. Hopefully Gersnet is a bit easier to get along with.

  2. As I said some time back; there is an obvious solution. Make him the captain on the pitch and Wallace stays as Club Captain. It's been done before but I need someone to remind me who was involved?

Much as I respect the man, I think Wallace was a decent choice as captain at the time he was appointed but times change and so do the demands on a Rangers captain. Personally, I think there has to be a change but I don't see enough of this squad to know who it should be. Sentiment shouldn't hold back a decision that needs to be made.

  3. Mack1950, I never stopped going, I just didn't want to make the same commitment for a while. Besides, the grandkids tend to take up much of what time I have these days. Thanks for the kind welcome.

  4. I've just joined this forum and wanted to say hello to the established members. I joined to keep informed about matters Rangers and look forward to exploring the site but will definitely be more of a reader than a writer.

By way of introduction ... I'm a lifetime fan, recently retired early after selling a business I started and spent most of my life building. I was a season ticket holder until a couple of years ago when the endless crises and politicking took its disillusioning toll and I now only take in occasional games. I'm still pretty sceptical about what's being achieved at the club but, like most of you, I keep a little hope burning in the background.
