Yeah, I see the point. I just question the commitment of Alves due to the World Cup and I feel we need a Centre half there who will build and push on in the Future. Alves wont be here next season and Martin might not be also. I think Murty Really likes Bates but feel McCrorie will be his first CB on in the Line-up

we do not have one solid Cb in the team, Bates has been playing well but can still have his moments, Martin is a leader but dodgy with the ball at his feet, Alves has his eye on the WC in the summer and Cardoso still needs coached through the Scottish game. I would play McCrorie and Martin when McCrorie is fit but for now keep Bates or Cardoso with Martin as both of them will need someone to coach them through it. Alves, I wouldn't play him again As for his contract, I expect most players to reject the first offer. He will sign a new deal.

I see your point, I just feel Him and Martin is like a double Decker turning; not saying Bates is much faster but I also think Alves has one eye on the WC in the summer. Which we can't blame him for. But I need commitment

Hardie has never been given a fair chance and yes as Der Berliner says he will probably fall into the we'll never know category. For one though I feel if he was good enough Murty would have given him a chance in cup games and not sent him out on loan. Is it not 5 managers who have not given him the chance now, Maybe because of his build? looks lightweight. Scottish Championship is where he will stay I reckon. Would have liked to see him push on at Rangers too.

Not had a look through the Thread but hearing Alves/Martin is the Center back pairing today?? I do not believe it but coming from a usually good source. That would just slow the defence right down. Id rather Cardoso or Bates
