"not what we need" Pmsl. Kin hell. How depressing.
Wee mans a cracking player. > Borna Backwards for me every day of the week.
Hear hear! I like Ridvan, there's something about his tenacity and energy - his goal against Livi was Gazza-esque. Just needs run of games and is a much better than Borna Backwardsic.

You may be correct, but you can't argue with the results and qualification record Scotland have under Clarke.
I could. The hysteria off the back of Scotland (ranked 33) beating nations ranked 44, 77 and 111 is OTT. Overall during the campaign we took points from one team ranked above us (Spain at home) and dropped points against 2 teams ranked below us.
We qualified, but you have to expect to in the group we were drawn in. We'll get skelped as usual at the finals.

Great thread, thank you @Rousseau
The final team contained 10 our of my 11 votes. Just Stevens out for Jardine, which I'm sure is very fair.
So I'm content with the final 11, so my subs would be:
McGregor
Amoruso
Stevens
Numan
RDB
Durrant
I.Ferguson
DJ
Mols

Tough decision but will go with McCoist and Hateley.

The infamous problem position. Not the best by any stretch but two of my favourites playing there were Naismith(mostly for Killie) and wee Novo.
Will have to have a think about this one. If Laudrup can't get in on the left ahead of Slim Jim, he has to be a shout for the right. God.
Agreed. I picked Baxter for the inside left position, but Laudrup has to be in the GOAT team, so he's my pick for the right.
Laudrup.

Only a suggestion, but why not select a squad rather than 11, then perhaps we can fit more players for a required shape or formation...

I also loved Albertz. But....Baxter just has to be in this team.

John Greig.
I know he played various positions throughout his career but I'd have him in this position as he could defend as well as surge forward and score goals. By selecting him here, it also frees up space for some legendary midfielders and forwards in the GOAT team.

It should be Sandy Jardine, and I hope he wins the poll. However, outwith Caldow, I'm sticking to players I had the pleasure of watching.
Given that, there is only one person that I can vote for and that's Gary Stevens. A wonderful full-back.
Honorable mentions to Hutton and Tav.
My sentiments exactly. Stevens for me.

Gough and Butcher. Best CHs in my lifetime.

Robertson for me.

Even more surprising... nobody has mentioned Andy Goram!

We play the second half like the first and we should have a comfortable win, Livingston are not offering any threat in attack. I would like another couple of goals though. McCausland deserves one and I think Danilo will come on and score.

Sima pushed the other centre half before he was pulled back. Soft but probably accurate.
After looking at the replays again at HT, I think Sima gets pulled first. That would be a penalty....or let the goal stand.

A bit nervy at the end, but a great win against a good side tonight. Two superb goals first half and although we couldn't sustain that performance for 90mins, the big positive for me was young Ross McCausland - a star is born!!
