Having a look at Norris post it looks like we got a v good draw. Though away again.

I wish Walter would stop playing full-strength sides in games like these. Games like these are priceless opportunities for 3 or 4 younger guys to come in and gain some top team experience - U-21 football doesn't come close to a senior cup tie and if guys like Little are good enough to play international football now then they're good enough for Palmerston FFS.

Would you accept a defeat, then? I agree with you, and I admire the way Arsenal and Man U use the Carling Cup in such a way - but they quite often get dumped out by a lower league side in the early rounds. Worth it?

I think Norris and Andy both make good points.

 

I think we need to strike a balance. Say 7 or 8 first teamers start with 3 or 4 youth players. This could be adjusted up or down depending on the tie and how the match pans out.
