If he means there were a lot of delusional sheep, blindly following the given line, believing they alone are virtuous while enjoying the world's contempt, he's not far off the mark.

 

The fact they booed Porto while they went up to collect the trophy has simply been airbrushed from history. And it's not as if our warm applause for Zenit was ever mentioned.

 

They are so delusional that they don't realise they have the mhedia totally in their hands. This programme was sponsored by the Record, which is still, apparently, "The Daily Ranger" .
