The Current rangers Situation

Recommended Posts

After listening to various Radio station last night I am even more confused than ever , from Bitter Maguire stating that Rangers are indeed fortunate to have someone of the quality of Muir looking after their interests ( I nearly crashed the car at that point ) , to Radio Scotland going the entirely opposite way with regards to Muir and our present circumstance can someone please explain why Lloyds are taking this current course of action .

I realise we have been making loses and indeed action was needed to avoid further loses , 12 players later and over £5million in fees surely this has been addressed to some extent .

£22 million of our current £31 million debt is being repaid at £1million per year over 22 years I accept the interest will be sore but will also reduce every year , the current debt is being forecast at £25 milion after this years C/L money so in effect we have £4 million short term debt .

So why are Lloyds wanting to get all the debt repaid this summer as is being reported or at very worst suggested by these supposed dramatic cuts to the squad ..

Just thinking aloud here, but if Rangers could be turned into a profit making business by Muir (even for years with no major Champions League cash), is it possible that the profits could mostly go to the main shareholders rather than to Lloyds? In other words, that the money could still end up going to the bank, but not to help pay off the debt of Rangers FC...??

Have to say that I find it very confusing myself rbr. I don't quite understand what any organized protest could achieve unless there's more info available on what's actually going on. As people have said on other threads, it seems that the only solid thing fans could protest about at the moment is Donald Muir's silence, by doing on mass what DE did on Sportsound the other night & call for Muir to speak out & clarify the situation and the ongoing plan for immediate contract renewals, summer transfer activity and squad for next season.

It is Alastair Johnston or Murray whose remit it is to speak out, Muir is an employee of SDM, not his spokesman. Why people continually allude or infer that Muir is a bank plant is becoming increasingly tedious. The man is doing his job let him get on with it, questions should be asked if required of the absent chairman, who clearly does not appear overly concerned, why should he, Rangers are solvent and trading within our remit.

Well why dont you enlighten us as to exactly what is his job , as to my knowledge he has never spoken publicly nor had his job fully explained either to shareholders like me or to the support in general . It may help the situation , also if we are solvent and trading as you state why is he blocking contracts and also why is the future state of the club being so widely talked about or is everyone else wrong and you are the sole light in a sea of darkness .

I also hate to admit this but I agree with you about Johnston

AJ made it clear at the AGM that Muir was one of 2 MIH appointees (SDM had wanted 4) and so is on Rangers board to look after MIH's position/shareholding.

That's easy, he's a company doctor a turnaround specialist and very good at it, nothing mysterious.

That covers a multitude of sins and doesn't explain anything , sorry I actually thought you knew what he was there for my mistake, and if he is that good perhaps he should spend more time worrying about MIH than a company that is solvent , just a thought

I know that Boss but again that covers a multitude of sins , and when was he made god , for all the info coming out of the club is that every decision re-money has to go through him

What is tedious is your attitude and the tripe you post. To suggest that everything surrounding Rangers is perfectly clear atm is bollocks and people are quite right to ask questions to try and understand what is going on. It is not your place to censor comments on here anyway so wind your neck. Nothing so tedious as seeing you've posted again.

You appear upset at the simplicity of the situation, you should take your own advice and "wind yir neck in".... or is disagreeing with your tedious view a banning offence, so FF. :)
