WILSON to go for injury scan after bounce match against Celtic

RANGERS defender Danny Wilson will go for a specialist scan tomorrow after picking up an injury in yesterday's bounce match against Celtic at Murray Park.

The 18-year-old was impressive in the opening 45 minutes but was replaced at half-time with Andy Little moving back to join Ross Perry in the heart of defence.

It has been revealed today, however, that the youngster is nursing a knock but the extent of the problem will not be known until the scan.

Wilson, of course, has enjoyed a stunning debut season for Walter Smith's first team and on Sunday night was named the club's Young Player of the Year.

The Livingston-born defender has made 24 starts throughout the campaign and has played a key role as his side have pursued a SPL and League Cup double.

Yesterday's 'friendly' in Auchenhowie provided an opportunity for several fringe players to get a run-out and both Rangers and Celtic named strong teams for the kick-off.

The match finished 1-0 to the visitors with Morten Rasmussen scoring the only goal at the start of the second-half.
