Seems Walter was right to sell Gow.

A press release from Home Park stated: "Argyle can confirm Alan Gow has been released from his contract with the club with effect from July 9, 2010.

"The club wish Alan well in his future career."

Gow was signed for a fee believed to be in the region of £200,000 by former Argyle boss Paul Sturrock, from Glasgow Rangers in summer 2009.

The forward had a spell on loan at Hibernian last season, and made it clear he did not want to return to Plymouth.
